PENGARUH DENSITAS ARUS DAN KONSENTRASI ASAM SULFAT TERHADAP KETEBALAN DAN KUALITAS PEWARNAAN LAPISAN OKSIDA PADA ANODIZING ALUMINIUM

Aluminum is already used in application because its characteristic such as light weightgood conductivity. and high reactivity in air to form oxide film with high corrosion resistance.Cause of the oxide film the Aluminum can not be colored or painted classically but by anodizing process. Anodizing Process with variable of current density and sulfuric acid concentration is done to study the characteristic of the thickness of oxide film formed and further how it will effected to coloring process. It was carried out with 12 to 14 Alft2 currents variation for 30 minutes and using 5 to 20 electrolyte concentration with range 5. The coloring solution used in this research are K. FeCN6 and FeCI The oxide film thickness determined by coating thickness minitest 600 B electro physic. The expected result of this research is to find optimum oxide film thickness that has
high adsorption capacity for smooth coloring. From this result known that current density and of sulfuric acid concentration influence to oxide film thickness. Effect of increasing concentration limitates the maximum anodic film thickness. And the increasing current density will also caused the same result. There is tendency for burning and decreasing the thickness of anodic film in very high
current density and it makes bad effect on coloring quality.
