SEGMENTASI CITRA MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN NEUTROSOPHY DAN METODE WATERSHED

Image segmentation is one of the most important tasks of image analysis. The results of segmentation will have great impact on the subsequent analysis process such as on object recognition application image description object classification etc. Neutrosophy is a branch of philosophy that studies neutralities and is a new philosophy to extend the fuzzy logic. In this paper an image will be transformed into neutrosophic domain using the Shannon function. After the representation in neutrosophic domain is obtained binarization is performed using the concepts of neutrosophy logic. After that the binary image will be processed using watershed method in order to extract the boundary of the objects. In this paper a new approach in the step of image transformation to neutrosophy domain is proposed namely in the process of S-functions parameter searching. Experiments were performed in order to compare the proposed method with existing methods that also uses a neutrosophy approach and watershed method without neutrosophic approach also other region-based segmentation method. Experimental results show that the proposed method performed better than the existing neutrosophic approach and the other segmentation methods.
