OPTIMIZATION OF DESIGN OF EXPERIMENT FOR HYBRID FUEL-SYSTEM OF PREMIUM BENZENE AND LPG IN MOTORCYCLING VEHICLES

Price increasing for benzene was back-grounded the modification of a fuel-hybrid system development. The problem in developing the system is how to define proper setting values in combining those two fuels. As we concern in optimizing the performance of fuel and engine two variables play significant roles within they are Research Octane Number RON and Compression Ratio CR. In this research octane is being a focus to be determined in getting a good value of compression ratio for engine design. An identification of variables of LPG will be performed firstly furthermore a Design of Experiment DOE based on for instance grey and Taguchi methods is implemented to analyze other related variables such as density LHV Lower Heating Value and others. A higher compression ratio of LPG compared to benzene showed the improvement of engine performance which a higher CR meant of having a less engine auto-knock.
