PENGARUH SUDUT ORIENTASI ANTARA PAHAT DAN BENDA KERJA TERHADAP BATAS STABILITAS CHATTER PADA PROSES BUBUT ARAH PUTARAN SPINDLE COUNTER CLOCKWISE

ABSTRAK

Challer merupakan getaran eksitasi diri dimana amplitudo getaran tidak lagi linier terhadap kenaikan kedalaman potong melainkan amplitudo naik secara eksponensial pada saat proses pemesinan. Chauer harus dihindari pada saat proses pemotongan logam diantaranya dengan meningkatkan stabilitas proses pemotongan eksperimen yang dilakukan menggunakan alai bantu berupa fool posl dan tool posilioning agar sudut otientasi antara pahat dan benda kerja dapat divariasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perubahan yang signiftk.an pada batas stabilitas challer frekuensi dan kedalaman potong kritis untuk setiap sudut orientasi pada proses bubut arah putaran spindle counter clockwise ccw dimana stabilitas tertinggi terdapat pada sudut orientasi 30 dan terendah pada 150 sehingga terjadi peningkatan batas-stabilitas sebesar 21 kali antara batas stabilitas tertinggi dan terendah. Perubahan sudut orientasi dari proses bubut konvensional sudut orientasi 0 menjadi 30 dapat meningkatkan stabilitas proses pemotongan menjadi 4.25 kali.


ABSTRACT

Chatter is self excitation vibration where vibration amplitude not again linear to increase depth of cut but amplitude rises according to exponential on machining process. Chatter must be avoided on metal cutting process. among others with increase stability of cutting stability. Experiment that done to use medium shaped tool post and tool positioning so that orientation angel between tool and workpiece can be variation. The experimental result shows that found change significant in limit stability chatter. frequency. and critical depth of cut for every orientation angel on turning process for counter clockwise ccw direction of spindle rotation where highest stability in 30 and lower in 150 of orientation angeL so that happen stability limit enhanced as big as 21 times between highest and bottommost stability. The change of orientation angel from conventional turning process 0 of orientation angel be 30 can be increased cutting stability 4.25 time.
