Dalam penerbitannya pada edisi kali ini, Jurnal Teknik Mesin menyajikan lima topik artikel yang para penulisnya sudah dikenal sebelumnya. Satu artikel berkaitan dengan perpindahan panas, dua artikel berkaitan dengan mekanika fluida, dan dua artikel lainnya berkaitan dengan ilmu material.
Selain kami tujukan kepada para penulis yang telah aktif dari lingkungan kampus ITS sendiri, sekali lagi kami mengajak para peneliti dan praktisi bidang
Teknik Mesin di luar ITS, khususnya para alumni, untuk menulis artikel yang bisa dimuat pada Jurnal Teknik Mesin. Hal yang sangat menggembirakan bagi kita semua tentang Jurnal Teknik Mesin adalah ditandai dengan banyaknya peminat Jurnal Teknik Mesin yang mulai berlangganan. Selain itu, isi dari Jurnal Teknik Mesin ini semakin berbobot dari satu penerbitan ke penerbitan berikutnya. Kondisi ini telah mendorong pengelola untuk tidak ragu-ragu lagi segera mempersiapkan pengajuan usulan untuk memperoleh akreditasi bagi jurnal kita ini dalam waktu yang tidak terlalu lama.
