ABSTRAK

Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang keberadaannya sudah ada saat anak mengenyam pendidikan pra sekolah pendidikan dasar sampai pendidikan menengah dan matematika merupakan ilmu dasar basic science yang penting baik sebagai alat bantu sebagai pembimbing pola pikir maupun sebagai pembentuk sikap. Oleh karena itu matematika diharapkan dapat dikuasai oleh setiap siswa di setiap jenjang pendidikan. Namun kadang-kadang pelajaran matematika selalu dianggap pelajaran yang sulit dan ditakuti oleh siswa sehingga sangat berdampak pada prestasi belajar siswa. Game adalah media untuk melakukan aktifitas bermain. Aktifitas bermain merupakan suatu aktifitas yang meliputi pemecahan masalah yang menjadi tantangan dari game tersebut dengan mengikuti suatu aturan tertentu. Game menjadi menarik karena tantangan dan aturan pada game dikemas dalam suatu skenario tertentu. Dari satu sisi aktifitas bermain game dipandang sebagai suatu aktifitas yang tidak produktif. Namun disisi lain bermain game dapat dipandang sebagai sebuah aktifitas belajar. Hal ini terjadi karena pemain dituntut untuk mempelajari cara-cara yang harus dilakukan untuk menaklukkan tantangan yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hal-hal tersebut diatas perlu dibuat suatu alat bantu pembelajaran yang mendukung aspek-aspek interaktif menyenangkan menghibur aktraktif dan ada keterlibatan siswa secara aktif melalui game edukasi. Dengan menggunakan RPG Maker XP sebuah software yang penggunaannya adalah untuk membantu pembuatan sebuah game penulis mencoba memasukkan konten pembelajaran Matematika Barisan Aritmetika didalamnya materi yang diajarkan oleh guru tersebut dibuat semenarik mungkin dengan menggunakan media digital yang interaktif menyenangkan menghibur dan ada keterlibatan siswa secara aktif dalam materi tersebut sehingga game dapat digunakan sebagai sebuah sistem instruksional. Dengan harapan system pembelajaran Barisan Aritmetika dengan menggunakan media game lebih efektif dan efisien dibandingkan dengan sistem pembelajaran konvensional.


ABSTRACT

Mathematics is one of subject which is recognized and learned when the children acquire in the pre-school elementary school until senior high school and mathematics is a basic science that is significant for aid media as the thinking guidance and attitude former. Therefore Mathematics is expected to be mastered by the students in every level of study. However mathematics is occasionally considered as a very hard subject to be understood and frightening for the student. It gives an effect toward students achievement. Game is a media for playing the activity. Playing the activity is an activity which consists of problem solving which is going to be the challenge from the game itself by following the certain rules. The game is going to be attractive because of the challenge and the certain rules are presented by a particular scenario. From one side the activity of playing the game is considered as the unproductive activity. However from the other side playing the game can be deemed as the learning activity. This matter occurred because of the players are needed to find out the way defeating the challenges. From the illustration above it is obvious that making the aid of learning instrument is intensely needed because it is able to support the aspects of interactive fun entertain attractive and the students involvement actively through education game. By applying RPG maker XP a software which is able to be used for supporting the game making. The writer tries to take in to the content of mathematics learning Arithmetic lining inside the presented material which is applied by the teacher will be given attractively fun entertain and the directly students involvement to the material itself so that the game can be used as an instructional system. By hopping that the learning system of arithmetic lining by using the game as media can be more effective and efficient than the conventional learning system.
