ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh dari tingkat component commonality penggunaan komponen yang sama dalam struktur produk yang berbeda tertentu terhadap tingkat schedule instability service level dan total cost pada sistem rantai pasok sederhana yang terdiri dari satu pemanufaktur dan satu pemasok. Beragam kondisi operasional yang berbeda seperti variabilitas dan ketidakpastian permintaan cost structure lead time struktur produk serta kebijakan persediaan yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan menjadi bagian yang diamati dalam studi ini. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa schedule instability pada kedua entitas sangat dipengaruhi oleh variabilitas dan ketidakpastian permintaan. Pemasok mengalami instability lebih tinggi daripada pemanufaktur karena ketidakpastian yang semakin meningkat untuk entitas yang lebih tinggi dalam struktur rantai pasok. Sedangkan penggunaan common components pada entitas pemanufaktur mampu mereduksi tingkat schedule instability dan total cost serta meningkatkan service level baik pada pemanufaktur maupun pemasok. Khusus bagi pemasok nilai cost structure dari pemanufaktur memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tiga ukuran kinerja pada pemasok.


ABSTRACT

This study analyzed the effect of component commonality use of common components in different product structures to schedule instability rate service level and total cost in a simple supply chain system which is consist of a manufacturer and a supplier. Various operational conditions such as demand uncertainty product cost structures lead times and product structures will be simulated in order to describe the impact of different commonality rate regarding to the performance measures. The simulation results revealed that schedule instability at both party is highly affected by the degree of demand variability and demand uncertainty. Supplier exhibits higher instability than manufacturer due to uncertainty propagation to the higher level entity on supply chain structure. The use of common components applied by the manufacturer is effectively reduce schedule instability total cost and improve service level at both sides. Furthermoreit is shown that manufacturers cost structures has significant impact to the performance measures of supplier.
