PERANCANGAN STASIUN PENGAJARAN INTERAKTIF YANG BERBIAYA MURAH

DESIGNING LOW COST INTERACTIVE TEACHING STATION

ABSTRAK

Penggunaan teknologi komputer menandai kemajuan bidang pendidikan khususnya di Indonesia. Sistem pembelajaran mengalami perubahan signifikan dimana awalnya berpusat pada guru ataupun dosen menjadi pembelajaran yang berpusat kepada siswa atau mahasiswa. Sistem ini dikenal sebagai student-centered learning. Penerapan student-centered learning haruslah didukung oleh perubahan infrastruktur sekolah. Oleh karenanya perlu dikembangkan perangkat keras dan lunak untuk membantu agar proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Telah terdapat berbagai perangkat keras yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk belajar mengajar diantaranya touch screen wireless mouse wireless keyboard electronic whiteboard dan perangkat remote control. Akan tetapi kebanyakan perangkat tersebut memiliki harga yang relatif mahal sehingga sebagian besar sekolah di Indonesia belum dapat menggunakannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu stasiun pengajaran yang berbasis ubiquitous technology berbiaya murah dan interaktif. Stasiun pengajaran tersebut mudah untuk dirakit sehingga mudah juga untuk diduplikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah integrasi metode Quality Function Deployment QFD dengan Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatelskikh Zadatch TRIZ yang telah banyak diaplikasikan dalam proses inovasi produk-produk teknologi. Salah satu manfaat QFD adalah rancangan dari produk baru berfokus pada kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan sedangkan kelebihan metode TRIZ adalah pada kemampuannya mengorganisir dan menstrukturkan tahapan-tahapan dalam inovasi sehingga mampu meminimasi waktu dan biaya bila dibandingkan dengan melakukan trial and error. Stasiun pengajaran yang dirancang dengan metode QFD TRIZ dan menerapkan ubiquitous technology memiliki 2 teknologi pengajaran di dalamnya yaitu interactive whiteboard dan visualizer. Harga jual yang berada di bawah produk pesaing dan dengan penerapan 2 teknologi pengajaran tersebut diharapkan stasiun pengajaran akan dapat membantu tenaga pengajar pada proses belajar mengajar di kelas.


ABSTRACT

Technology utilization marks the progress of education especially in Indonesia. Learning system nowdays experiencing significant changes from teachercentered learning to student-centered learning. The implementation of studentcentered learning must be supported by the changes in school infrastructure. Therefore it is necessary to develop the hardware and software so that the learning process becomes more interactive and pleasant. There have been a variety of hardware devices that can be applied for teaching and learning process such as touch screen wireless mouse wireless keyboard electronic whiteboard and remote control devices. However most of these devices come up with relatively high price so that most of schools in Indonesia still not capable to utilize them. The aim of this study is designing a low cost interactive and portable teaching station based on ubiquitous technology. This teaching station is easy to be assembled and duplicated as well. The method used in this study is the integration of Quality Function Deployment QFD and Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatelskikh Zadatch TRIZ method which has been widely applied in the innovation process of technology products. One of the benefits of QFD is the design of new products focused on customer requirement and desire while the superiority of TRIZ lies in its ability in organizing and structuring the stages in innovation process so it can minimize the time and cost needed compared to trial and error method. The teaching station that has been designed with the integration of QFD TRIZ and based on ubiquitos technology equiped with 2 teaching technology inside interactive whiteboard and visualizer. With the sale price which is under the competitor s products and the application of 2 additional teaching technology this teaching station is expected to be able to support the teachers in teaching-learning process in the classroom.
