Reliability suatu sistem sangat bergantung pada reliability komponen-komponen yang mendukung bekerjanya sistem tersebut. Reliability komponen pada umumnya dipengaruhi oleh model perawatan (pemeliharan), juga pada budget dari maintenance cost. Oleh karena itu reliability komponen dan reliability system bisa ditetapkan berdasarkan Condition Based dan atau Time Based Maintenance.
Sampai saat ini prediksi reliability komponen (peralatan) yang menunjang pengolahan minyak, terutama pada Unit Pembangkit Listrik di Pusdiklat Migas Cepu belum disusun secara sistematis, prediksi yang berupa pemeliharaan hanya dilakukan secara periodik tanpa analisa yang pasti, seperti analisa Maintenance Cost, Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), jumlah man-hour dan Maintenance Budget. Padahal fakta tersebut sangat membantu Maintenance Management, sehingga dapat dijaga reliability komponen yang mendukung terhadap reliability sistem.
Metodologi yang dgunakan adalah dengan menganalisa data perawatan peralatan Gensetyang ada selama 2 tahun terakhir (2003-2004). Data perawatan tersebut diubah dalam bentuk rupiah/man-hour berdasarkan Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) dan lama perbaikan. Selanjutnya, scheduling dilakukan berdasarkan time based dan condition based untuk digttnakan perhitungan total budget tahunan.
Dari analisa yang dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan: Operasional Cost dan Reliability bertemu titik optimalnya padajam ke 289. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa Time Based Maintenance yang sedang berlangsung (326 jam) masih mendekati titik optimal.
Usaha perbaikan reliability dilakukan dengan menambahkan komponen Filter. Dengan menambahkan komponen tersebut maka reliability system berubah (naik) dari 40 % menjadi 45 %.

In general, component reliability is influenced by maintenance model and also the budget of maintenance cost. So that the component reliability and system reliability can be determined based on Condition Basedandor Time Based Maintenance.
JBfitThe prediction of (tool) nreliability that supporting oil processing especially at Electrical Generator unit, Pusdiklat Migas Cepu Does not compile systematically until now. The prediction which is in the form of maintenance is done periodically without certain analysis, such as Maintenace Cost Analysis, Mean Time To Failure (MTTF). The Amount Of Man-Hour and Maintenance Budget. In reality, the above fact can support Maintenance Management so that the component reliability which supporting system reliability can be kept.
The method used in this case is by analyzing maintenance dataofgenset tools during the last two years (2003-2004). The maintenance data are changed into rupiah/man-hour based on Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) and the time of repair. After that, sceduling is done based on time based and condition based which usedfor total caJculation of annual budget. From the analysis which has been done, it can be concluded that Operational Cost and Reliability meet their optimumpoint at the time if 1,663.
After doing analysis, the effort of reliability repair can be done by changing maintenance interval, that is changing the lubricant andftlter, that in the beginning is done every 2 weeks (± 15 days) becomes 12 days. By the maintenance interval changing, the system reliability increases from 39.76 % into 42.46 %.
