PEMODELAN ALIRAN FLUIDA DL PERMUKAAN BEBAS DL ATAS GUNDUKAN DALAM SALURAN DL BAWAH PENGARUH GRAVITASI DAN TEGANGAN PERMUKAAN

FREE SURFACE FLUID FLOW MODELING OVER A STEP IN A CHANNEL UNDER THE EFFECTS OF BOTH GRAVITY AND SURFACE TENSION

ABSTRAK

The boundary integral technique development for the free surface fluid flow over a step in the channel under gravity and surface tension influences problem in which the fluid are two-dimensional steady ideal incompressible irrational and inviscid is considered. By using a boundary integral equation system derived from Riemann-Hilbert technique for analysis function of mixed boundary integral cases the problem is solved. The problem is solved by transforming a physical to a potential form and by using Schwartz-Christoffel transformation the potential form is mapped into an upper half t-plane. To obtain a numerical solution a Muskhelishvilli theory for a special form of Riemann-Hilbert formula is used. Those numerical calculations are obtained when the upstream Froude number is larger than unity then a surface tension plays a less important role than does gravity in determining the shape of free surface but the surface tension is an important factor in the process when the free surface is about to breakup into waves


ABSTRACT

Teknik integral-batas dikembangkan untuk aliran fluida di permukan bebas di atas gundukan dalam saluran di bawah pengaruh gravitasi dan tegangan permukaan yang mana aliran fluidanya dalam dua-dimensi stabil ideal tak-mampu-mampat tak-berputar dan tak-kental. Bentuk penyelesaiannya adalah sistem persamaan integral-batas yang berasal dari teknik Riemann-Hilbert untuk masalah batas campuran dari fungsi analitis. Adapun caranya adalah bentuk fisis diubah ke bentuk potensial dan selanjutnya dengan menggunakan transformasi Schwartz-Christoffel bentuk potensial tersebut dibawa kedalam bentuk garis horisontal pada bidang paruh-t. Penyelesaian numerik diperoleh dengan menggunakan teori Muskhelishvilli yaitu bentuk khusus dari rumus Riemann-Hilbert. Dari perhitungan numerik tersebut diperoleh bahwa untuk bilangan Froude hulu lebih besar dari satu satuan maka peran tegangan permukaan menjadi kurang penting dibandingkan pengaruh gravitasi dalam menentukan bentuk permukaan bebas tetapi tegangan permukaan merupakan faktor penting dalam proses pada saat permukaan bebas akan berubah menjadi gelombang
