STRATEGI PEMENUHAN BAKU MUTU BADAN AIR LOKASI INTAKE PDAM KARANG PILANG SURABAYA

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari pencemaran air di sungai Kali Surabaya yang diakibatkan oleh efluen limbah cair industri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat pencemar efluen limbah cair industri yang mempengaruhi terhadap daya dukung badan air sungai sehingga baku mutu air Golongan B sebagai bahan baku air minum terpenuhi. Strategi dan upaya apa yang perlu dilakukan untuk mengatasi tingkat pencemar akibat buangan air limbah tersebut. Lokasi penelitian dimulai dititik lokasi 1000 sebagai hulu sungai Kali Surabaya kemudian dipilih titik sampling berikutnya berdasar atas dampak buangan limbah cair industri ke sungai sampai dengan titik 1050 yang mana pada titik 1045 adalah tempat lokasi intake pengambilan bahan baku air minum PDAM Karang Pilang sehingga harus terpenuhi kualitas airnya. Efluen limbah cair industri yang dibuang disepanjang Kali Surabaya memberikan beban pencemar rata-rata BOD terendah dari PT Adi Prima sebesar 1658 kghari dan tertinggi dari hilir Kali Tengah gabungan dari beberapa efluen industri sebesar 174019 kghari. Dari pemeriksaan pencemar parameter BOD badan air dititik 1040 lokasi Bambe adalah 1329 mg1 sehingga dapat mempengaruhi beban pencemar ditik 1045 lokasi intake PDAM Karang Pilang yang sudah melebihi batas standar peruntukan klas badan air golongan B yaitu 1045 mg1. Maka dengan melakukan uji statistik hubungan pencemar parameter BOD antara titik 1045 dan 1040 diperoleh suatu persamaan Y 323 096 X dimana Y adalah titik 1040 dan X titik 1045 sehingga diperoleh nilai prediksiistimasi dititik 1040 diharapkan mempunyai nilai BOD sebesar 899 mg1. Altematif untuk mengurangi beban pencemar adalah membuat Unit Pengolah Limbah Komunal UPLK dihilir Kali Tengah dengan model pengolahan Bio filter yang di harapkan dapat mengurangi beban pencemar BOD sebesar 78273 kghari yang mana sebelumnya 174019 kghari diharapkan dapat berubah menjadi 95746 kghari dan juga perlu dibuat konsep strategi dalam upaya pengendalian pencemaran badan air sungai akibat efluen limbah cair industri.


ABSTRACT

This research was done to study the water pollution in Kali Surabaya caused by the effluent of industrial waste water. The reaserchs goal was to unflod the pollutions degree that influenced the power of the river function so that the water gualiry was uncomply with B criteria water guality standard as water supply in producing of drinking water and try to found the strategy in solving the problem. Reaserchs location start at point 1.000 up stream next poin was choose based on the industrial waste water effluent and ended at point 1.050 in this mater water supply of drinking water is taken from point 1.045. Industrial waste water effluent that was trowed in Kali Surabaya gave pollotion degree the average lower Biological of Oxygen Demand BOD from PT Adi Prima was 1658 kg per day and the highest from downstream of Kali Tengah combined from many industry effluent was 1.74019 kg per day. BOD analysis at point 1.040 that located at Bambe was 1329 ppm so could be effeced to the polutiont degree at point 1.045 that located in intake PDAM Karang Pilang mat exceed the standart requirment to class of groub B stream was 1045 PPM. Statistic tast showed relation between BOD point 1.045 and point 1.040 was found Y 323 096 X Y point 1.040 and X point 1.045 so was found istimati value on point 1.040 so BOD value was 899 ppm. Decreasing the water pollution would be reach by building waste water treatment unit located at the stream of Kali Tengah such air sungai bio filter treameni model. This instrument could decrease BOD from 1.71019 kg per day to 95746 kg per day.
