ABSTRAK

Kota Palu sebagai Ibukota Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah merupakan pusat perekonomian yang berkembang sedemikian cepat sejak pembangunannya dimulai tahun 1987. Hal ini mengakibatkan beban dalam penanggulangan sampah akan semakin meningkat dari berbagai sumber sampah seperti sampah permukiman pasar perkantoran fasilitas umum sapuan jalan kawasan industri dan Iain-lain. Jumlah Penduduk Kota Palu saat ini sekitar 265.791 jiwa dengan luas wilayah 30506 km2. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengambilan data sekunder tentang timbunan sampah jumlah armada dan personil serta jumlah penduduk. Selain itu dilakukan pengamatan di lapangan meliputi rute ritasi pengangkutan sampah dan jarak tempuh yang dilalui kendaraan sampah dari Tempat Pembuangan Sementara ke Tempat Pembuangan Akhir. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa terhadap hasil pengamatan dengan kemungkinan adanya optimasi ritasi pengangkutan sampah. Dari hasil analisa dan evaluasi terhadap sistem pengangkutan sampah Kota Palu diperoleh bahwa kemampuan kendaraan sampah Arm Roll Truck masih dapat ditingkatkan dimana setiap Arm Roll Truck dapat ditambah 1 atau 2 trip dalam satu hari. Sedangkan pengangkutan sampah untuk jenis Dump Truck cukup baik dengan kemampuan beritasi 4 triphari dan rata-rata setiap trip dapat mengangkut sampah dari 3 lokasi Tempat Penampungan Sementara. Untuk mencapai target pelayanan 80 sebagai pengembangan sistem pengangkutan sampah di Kota Palu pada Tahun 2010 dibutuhkan 13 unit Arm Roll Truck dan 13 unit Dump Truck 91 orang personil 65 unit kontainer serta penyediaan 75 unit bak TPS.


ABSTRACT

Palu Town as a capital city of Middle Sulawesi Province which economy center that develop in recently since begin a development in 1987. This caused problems in handling rubbish that more increased from some solid-waste resources such as waste in living area traditional markets public facility sweeping of street and industry area etc. Number of Inhabitant in Palu Town now about 265.791 million inhabitant with wide area is 30506 km2. This research had done by taking secondary data about solid-waste deposit number of armada and personnel and number of inhabitant. In addition to applied observation in range of activity included route of solid-waste transport trip and range of transport by solid-waste vehicle from Temporary Storage to Landfill Area. Then applied an analyze to observation result by possibly of existing solid-waste transport trip optimization. From result of analyze and evaluation to solid-waste transport system in Palu Town could be achieved that performance of waste vehicle Arm Roll Truck could increased which every Arm Roll Truck could be added 1 or 2 trip in one day. Whereas solid-waste transport for typical of Dump Truck has adequate performance with performance trip was 4 tripday and rate of trip could carry out solid-waste from 3 Temporary Storage locations to reached target of service until 80 as development of solid-waste transport system in Palu Town in 2010 were required by 13 unit Arm Roll Truck and 13 unit Dump Truck 91 personnel staff 65 unit container and supplying 75 unit Temporary Storage containers.
