IMPLEMENTATION OF RIPEMD-160 ALGORITHM AS A CODING FUNCTION OF PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION PROCESS ON DES-BASED DATA ENCRYPTION

ABSTRAK

Salah satu mekanisme pendukung yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah penyalahgunaan hak akses adalah kriptografi. Dengan mekanisme ini data atau informasi akan disandikan sehingga tidak dapat dibaca atau paling tidak akan menyulitkan orang yang tidak berhak untuk membacanya. Pada penelitian ini dideskripsikan dan dianalisis algoritma RIPEMD-160 baik dari segi teori keamanan kompleksitas algoritma dan implementasi proses otentikasi password enkripsi data berbasis DES. Ujicoba dilakukan menggunakan metode full encryption otentikasi password metode full encryption dan part encryption dengan hasil maksimal. Berbagai jenis data file .rtf .doc .jpg .mp3 .avi .zip .pdf dan .xls diujicoba. Prosentase peningkatan ukuran file dengan proses part encryption 008 dengan proses full encryption 3694 dan otentikasi password terhadap proses full encryption adalah 8675 . Semua menunjukkan fungsi regresi linier.


ABSTRACT

One of the supporting mechanisms that can be applied to cope with problems of access abuses is by means of cryptography. With this mechanism data and information would be coded thus they are unreadable or least would make them difficult for those who are not authorized to read them. In this research algorithm of RIPEMD-160 was described an analyzed from standpoint of theory security algorithm complexity and password authentication process implementation of DES-based data encryption. Try out was carried out by means of full encryption method authentication of full encryption and part encryption with maximal results. Various types of file data namely .rtf .doc .jpg .mp3 .avi .zip .pdfand .xls were tried out. Percentage of increasing file size with process of part encryption was 008 with process of full encryption was 3694 and password authentication on process of full encryption was 8675 . All of those indicated function of linear regression.
