ABSTRAK

Salah satu ukuran keberhasilan kegiatan perancangan dan pengembangan produk baru adalah kemampuan dalam menetapkan predetermined cost. Metode penetapan predetermined cost dengan cara yang lebih mudah dan biaya minimal adalah estimated cost. Selama ini estimated cost dapat dilakukan dengan cara penaksiran analogi dan penaksiran parametrik menggunakan teknik statistik. Penelitian mi memperkenalkan metode penentuan predetermined cost menggunakan sistem penaksiran Artificial Neural Network ANN. Pemilihan metode ini atas rujukan beberapa penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa ANN merupakan fungsi penaksir dengan keunggulan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode statistik. Untuk mendapatkan konsistensi dan sifat realistis model maka perhitungan biaya dilakukan dengan sistem perhitungan Activity Based Costing ABC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model penaksir ANN dapat menentukan predetermined cost dengan tingkat kesalahan taksiran kurang dan 02 terhadap biaya aktual. Tingkat keberhasilan penaksiran model yang dirancang adalah 90.


ABSTRACT

The ability of finding the predetermined cost was one of the success of new product development. Estimated cost was the method in establishing predetermined cost in easy manner and as the minimum cost. Up to now estimated cost could be done by using analogy estimation and parametric estimation with statistical approach. The objective of the research was to introduce the method of establishing predetermined cost by employing Artificial Neural Network Approach. The main idea was based on the other researches which shown that artificial neural network has been a better estimated function than statistical methods. To get a more realistic and consistent model. Activity Based Costing was employed to get the calculation of the cost. The result of the research shown that estimated model of artificial neural network could produce predetermined cost with the error less than 0.2 of actual cost. The success level of estimation by model is 90.
