ABSTRAK

Pembuangan limbah polutan ke sungai yang semakin lama semakin meningkat mempunyai potensi sebagai penyebab pencemaran. Untuk menyatakan kualitas pada badan sungai masih belum mengaitkan unsur-unsur hidrodinamika seperti debit kecepatan dan struktur sungai atau parameter polutan. Karena itu yang akan dilakukan dalam tesis ini adalah mengkonstruksi model penyebaran polutan dalam air sungai yang dipengaruhi oleh hidrodinamika air sungai dan mencari hubungan antara hidrodinamika yang terjadi di sungai dengan profil penyebaran polutan yang terjadi pada saat bersamaan. Untuk menyelesaikan model tersebut digunakan metode penyelesaian numerik yaitu dengan menerapkan metode beda hingga. Penyelesaian ini harus memenuhi syarat kestabilan numerik. Selanjutnya dengan memasukkan data konsentrasi polutan BOD COD TSS dan CL maka diperoleh penyelesaian dalam bentuk profil penyebaran polutan. Pada aliran laminar untuk kecepatan aliran sungai ke arah sumbu x positif profil penyebaran polutan menurun sedangkan kecepatan aliran sungai ke arah sumbu y positif profil penyebaran polutan berfluktuasi kemudian konsentrasi profil penyebaran polutan cenderung datar


ABSTRACT

Pollutant waste disposal by increasingly utilizing the river stream is potential as pollution cause. To state the quality of river body the available method has not correlated with hydrodynamics elements yet such as debit velocity and river structure or pollutant parameter. Hence this paper aims to construct the model of pollutant dispersion in the river water influenced by its hydrodynamics and to find the relation between the hydrodynamics and the profile of pollutant dispersion occurred at the same time. To solve the model above it is used the numerical solving method i.e. by applying finite difference method. This solving has to meet the numerical stability criteria. Then by substituting the data of pollutant concentration of BOD COD TSS and CL it will yield the solving in the form of profile of pollutant dispersion. In the laminar stream for the river stream velocity toward positive x axis the profile of pollutant dispersion declines where as the river stream velocity toward positive y axis the profile of pollutant dispersion fluctuates and then tends to be flat
