Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan konsentrasi zat pencemar CO di udara ambient tempat parkir mobil dalam gedung plasa XYZ mengetahui dan menganalisa konsentrasi CO terhadap waktu-pengamatan dan ketinggian lantai tempat parkir mobil dalam gedung plasa XYZ dan menentukan strategi pengendalian di tempat parkir mobil dalam gedung plasa XYZ di tinjau dari konsentrasi gas CO. Lokasi penelitian dipilih di tempat parkir dalam gedung plasa XYZ Surabaya yang memiliki delapan lantai lima lantai dari dasar merupakan tempat parkir dengan ruangan tertutup sedangkan tiga lantai diatasnya merupakan tempat parkir dengan ruangan semi terbuka. Data primer studi awal diperoleh dari penghitungan jumlah mobil selama satu minggu dan analisis hasil pengambilan contoh. Pengambilan contoh dilakukan yaitu secara grab dan komposit. Analisis pengambilan contoh dengan Non Dispers Infra Red. Jumlah contoh udara adalah 96 buah. Pengambilan contoh dilakukan pada semua titik yang ada di tiap lantai. Parameter kualitas udara yang diukur adalah konsentrasi karbon monoksida pada lantai yang berbeda perbedaan hari pengamatan dan perbedaan jam pengamatan. Dari hasil analisis studi awal diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hari Rabu Jumat Sabtu dan Minggu adalah hari yang signifikan dalam menunjukkan tingginya konsentrasi CO. Jam yang signifikan dalam menunjukkan tinggi rendahnya konsentrasi CO adalah jam 10.00-11.00 15.00-16.00 dan 19.00-20.00. Dari hasil pemeriksaan contoh udara didapat hasil sebagai berikut konsentrasi CO pada hari Rabu dan Jumat pada jam 10.00-11.00 minimal 0 ppm maksimal 169 ppm jam 15.00 -16.00 minimal 169 ppm maksimal 3849 ppm dan pada jam 19.00-20.00 minimal 382 ppm maksimal 4441 ppm . Untuk hari Sabtu dan Minggu konsentrasi CO pada jam 10.00 - J 1.00 minimal 122 ppm maksimal 4355 ppm pada jam 15.00 -16.00 minimal 432 ppm maksimal 1025 ppm. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa tingginya konsentrasi CO dipengaruhi oleh jam pengamatan dan ketinggian lantai yang berbeda. Strategi pengendaliannya adalah perlu pemasangan local exhaust perlu penambahan udara bersih perlu pengaturan lalu lintas di tempat parkir dan mengefektifkan serta memperhatikan program kerja yang ada di Fire Safety Office.


The objectives of this research are to determine CO concentration in the ambient air of the car parking lot inside Plaza XYZ in Surabaya City to determine the relationships between CO concentrations sampling times and floor height. This research is also aimed to determine the strategy for controlling CO concentration at the car parking area. The car parking lot consists of 8 floors the first five are indoors and the other three are semi-open. Primary data collected were the number of cars parking in each week and the results of air sample analysis. Sampling was performed using grab and composite sampling methods. CO was determined from 96 samples using Non Disperse Infra Red instrument. The samples were collected from observing points in each floor. CO concentration was significantly high on Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday. Furthermore the CO levels were significantly detected during the measurement periods performed at 10.00 -11.00 am 3.00 - 4.00 pm and 7.00 - 8.00 pm. On Wednesday and Friday the CO concentrations varied between 0 -16.9 ppm at 10.00 - 11.00 am 16.9 - 38.49ppm at 3.00 - 4.00pm and 3.82-44.41 ppm at 7.00 -8.00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday the CO concentrations varied between 1.22 43.55 ppm at 10.00 11.00 am 4.32 - 102.5 ppm at 3.00 - 4.00 pm. Statistical analysis indicated that high CO concentrations were influenced by time and floor level variations. This research proposed the use of local exhaust system and the provision of clean air supply as CO pollution control strategy. Additionally it was also proposed to perform better traffic arrangement in the parking lot for reducing the air pollution and to include the Fire Safety Office for effective air pollution control in Plaza XYZ
