ABSTRACT

Cooling process is needed by fisherman to keep the quality offish they get. In present day this fisherman still uses the solid ice cooling system taken from land. By this type of cooling system the sailing time will be limited because the ice they bring cannot longer survive. Besides as much as the ice they bring as much as the space for the load will be used. This research offers the cooling system with adsorption this system is suitable for fisherman because in its application does not need much fund or space is also easily operated. This research tests the adsorptive of active carbon and the effect of this adsorptive to the refrigeration it also analyzes the effect of reactor temperature to the cooling itself. From the resulted calculation known that the refrigeration effect for this ship is 53.7 watts so that to fulfill the cooling loads in the ship is still need for another cooling system.
