ABSTRAK

Pengenalan perilaku proses sedimentasi di waduk merupakan tahap awal yang sangat penting dalam menentukan langkah upaya penanganan masalah pendangkalan akibat beban sedimentasi yang terjadi. Seiring dengan perkembangan piranti lunak software yang demikian pesat model matematika seringkali menjadi pilihan sebagai alat untuk mempelajari perilaku yang terjadi oleh karena disamping biayanya yang murah model ini dapat mencakup dimensi ruang dan waktu yang panjang. Namun dengan berbagai keterbatasannya sebaik apapun model yang diterapkan pasti mengandung kesalahan oleh karena adanya faktor yang tidak diperhitungkan saat pembangunan model. Dalam kaitan ini penentuan parameter model yang sesuai guna mendapatkan hasil analisis yang memiliki simpangan minimum sangat diperlukan sebelum model tersebut diaplikasikan. SMS merupakan suatu program untuk memecahkan model matematika yang dibangun berdasarkan konsep gerak air dan gerak sedimen yang secara matematis dipecahkan dengan menggunakan metode elemen hingga finite elemen melalui pendekatan dua dimensi horisontal. Dengan berbagai kelebihannya model ini diharapkan mampu memberikan hasil yang memuaskan sehingga dapat memperbaiki kinerja dari metode-metode pendekatan yang umum digunakan sebelumnya. Lokasi kegiatan penelitian adalah Waduk Selorejo di Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur yang juga memiliki masalah sedimentasi cukup mengkhawatirkan. Dari hasil analisa terhadap lima parameter model yang diteliti menunjukkan bahwa parameter trap efisiensi dan koefisien diffusi memberikan pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap pola sebaran sedimen di waduk sementara n Manning Koefisien Viskositas Eddy dan Initial Concentration Sediment memberikan pengaruh yang sangat kecil. Dengan masukan nilai TE70 De10 m2detik n 0.03 E 400 pa-detik dan IC300 gramm3 diperoleh hasil analisis yang cukup memuaskan ditunjukkan oleh nilai RMSE sebesar 0.19623 meter dan Rasio tebal sedimen rata-rata hasil running program dan data sebesar 0.931.


ABSTRACT

Identification of the behavior of sedimentation process at a reservoir is an important initial stage in the determination of sedimentation problems caused by loads of sedimentation. Following the rapid development of commercial software mathematical modeling has frequently been used as the popular tool to study the behavior of sedimentation attributed to low cost and this model can cover extended dimension of space and time. Despite its weaknesses the best possible used model may still have errors and this is usually caused by unexpected parameters. In this case the determination of suitable model parameter to provide analysis with minimum deviation is extremely required before the model can be applied. SMS is a program to solve mathematical models which are developed based on the philosophy of water movement and sediment transport concepts which is mathematically solved using finite element method through two dimensional horizontal approaches. The model is expected to improve the performance of the previous used approaches. The place of the study was Selorejo reservoir in the county of Malang of East Java which has crucial sedimentation problems. The analysis on five model parameters showed that trap efficiency and diffusion coefficient have given strong effect on the distribution of sediment pattern in the reservoir. Meanwhile Manning eddy viscosity coefficient and initial concentration sediment have shown less significant effects. With the input values of TE 70 De 10 m2sec n 0.03 E 400 Pasec and IC 300 gm3 gave satisfaction result and this was shown by RMSE value of 0.19623 m and ratio of average sediment thickness from running program and data was 0.931.
