PERENCANAAN MINIMUM NON VALUE ADDED ACTIVITIES DI INDUSTRI GALANGAN KAPAL DENGAN METODE LEAN SIX SIGMA

PLANNING OF MINIMUM NON-VALUE ADDED ACTIVITIES IN THE SHIPYARD INDUSTRY WITH LEAN SIX SIGMA METHOD

Author :
Putra, Abdul Aris Wacana

ABSTRAK

Era globalisasi menuntut Industri galangan kapal mampu meningkatkan efisiensi sehingga mampu bersaing dari segi quality cost dan on time delivery. PT.

ABSTRACT

In the globalization era demanded that shipyard industry is able to increase efficiency so that it can compete from quality cost and on time delivery. PT. PAL Indonesia as the world class shipyard must continuous improvement also develop time-base strategy that effort to reduce lead-time production. The purpose of this research is to identify wasting find out the reason and solution with improvement. Planning program of minimum non-value added activity uses the Lean Six Sigma method. Lean focused on waste identification and DMAIC Define Measure Analysis Improvement and Closure cycle of Six Sigma used to defineproblem indicator measurement non-value added NVA activities to analyze problem conduct improvement and to conclude the problem. Indicator non-value added activities known from man-hour calculation at the Assembly Shop Fabrication and Erection conducting problem analysis by combining 7 wastes with 7 management tools that called Value Stream Analysis Tool VALSAT. Research conclusion is that emerging the activities that cause much waste is welding and fitting. By improvement that focus on the reason gain the benefit financially and non-financial such as time efficiency.
