ABSTRAK

Dalam penelitian ini telah dirancang seperangkat instrumen pengukuran temperatur secara on-line. Instrumen tersebut digunakan untuk akuisisi data temperatur dalam proses pelayuan teh hitam. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dirancang memiliki jangkauan pengukuran linier pada temperatur antara 0C sampai 69C dan total error instrumen sebesar 69 . Hasil perekaman data temperatur di tengah dan dasar layung pelayuan digunakan untuk analisis signifikansi antar variabel proses dan optimasi hasil pelayuan. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan statistik inferensi menunjukkan bahwa variabel proses yang mempengaruhi besarnya presentase layu adalah temperatur udara pelayu dan kelembaban relatif udara pelayu. Besarnya kadar air hasil pelayuan secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh temperatur udara pelayu. Hasil signifikansi yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan analisis statistik inferensi menunjukkan pula bahwa antara variabel proses tidak berhubungan secara signifikan. Susunan serta karakteristik pucuk daun lebih mempengaruhi hasil signifikansi tersebut. Pendekatan optimasi dengan menggunakan program linier menunjukkan bahwa letak dan susunan pucuk mempengaruhi hasil optimasi. Semakin menjauh letak dan susunan pucuk daun dari sumber panas nilai presentase layu semakin turun yang nilainya berturut-turut adalah 7430 7171 dan 6732 . Hasil optimasi ini diperoleh ketika temperatur bagian tengah layung berkisar antara 1932 C sampai 2064 C dan temperatur dasar layung berkisar antara 2110 C sampai 2348 C.


ABSTRACT

In this research it has been developed an on line temperature measurement instrument. The instrument is used to unite data temperature for black tea withering process. The result shows that developed instrument has a reaching of linear measurement in the temperature 0C until 69C and the total of error instrument is 69 . The result of temperature record in the middle and in the based is used to analyze how significant variable of process and withering result optimally. The result of analysis by using inference statistic approaching shows that variable of process which influences how high withering percentage is withering air temperature and withering air relative dampness. It is significantly influenced by withering air temperature. Inference statistic analysis is also supported shows that among variable of process has no correlation significantly. The formation and leaf characteristic has more influenced the significant result. Optimal approaching by using linear program has shown that location and sprout formation influences optimal result. The farther the location sprout formation from warm resource the lower withering percentage the value is 7430 7171 and 6732 . The optimizing result will be got when temperature in the middle of trough is about 1932 C till 2064C and the basic temperature is about 2110C until 2348C.
