Description:

Terdapat berbagai alasan dan pertimbangan yang mendasari pelaku perjalanan dalam melakukan pemilihan pada moda transportasi. Kompetisi yang terjadi antar moda adalah sangat dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik dan keandalan dari moda yang bersangkutan. Untuk melakukan suatu upaya perbaikan dan peningkatan pelayanan dari moda transportasi tentunya harus diketahui perilaku pelaku perjalanan terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui karakteristik pengguna moda KA Gajayana dan Bus Eksekutif rute Jakarta-Malang, menentukan faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan moda, mendapatkan model yang menjelaskan probabilitas pemilihan moda antara moda KA Gajayana dan Bus Eksekutif, serta untuk mengetahui sensitivitas model dari respon individu apabila dilakukan perubahan terhadap salah satu atribut perjalanan yang mendukung utilitas pemilihan moda. Pengumpulan data informasi penumpang mengenai pemilihan moda dilakukan dengan metode survai dan wawancara pada pengguna moda KA Gajayana dan Bus Eksekutif dengan sampel sebesar 300 responden. Analisis data model pemilihan moda menggunakan adalah model logit binomial dan estimasi parameter model menggunakan analisa regresi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan logit model untuk pemilihan moda dengan variabel-variabel selisih biaya perjalanan (X1), selisih waktu tempuh perjalanan (X2), selisih waktu keterlambatan keberangkatan (X3), selisih waktu akses ke terminal/stasiun (X4) antara Kereta Api dan Bus. Berdasarkan uji statistik disimpulkan bahwa keempat faktor tersebut signifikan mempengaruhi responden dalam memilih moda. Dari hasil analisa sensitivitas diketahui bahwa semakin kecil selisih faktor-faktor antara moda KA Eksekutif Gajayana dan Bus, maka akan semakin memperbesar probabilitas memilih moda KA Eksekutif Gajayana.

There are several reasons and considerations which influence passengers in determining their choice of transportation mode. The competition between intermode is affected by characteristic and reliability of the mode itself. In order to improve and increase services of transportation mode, it is necessary to figure out the characteristics of the passengers. The objectives of this research are to figure out the characteristics of passengers of Gajayana Train and Executive Bus for the route of Jakarta-Malang, to determine factors that influence the mode choice, to obtain a model that explains probability of mode choice between Gajayana Train and Executive Bus, and to find out model sensitivity from passengers’ response if there is a change on one of transportation attributes supporting the utility of mode choice. The collection of data on mode choice is conducted using survey and interview method on passengers of Gajayana Train and Executive Bus with the amount of samples of 300 respondents. Data analysis on model of mode choice is carried out using binomial logit model, and estimation of model parameter is carried out using regression analysis. Based on the results of analysis, logit model is achieved for mode choice with variabel’s of difference of traveling cost (X1), the difference of traveling time (X2), the difference of departure delay (X3), and the difference of access time (X4) between Train and Bus. According to statistics test, it is concluded that the four factors are significant in influencing the respondents when choosing mode. Based on results of sensitivity analysis, it is figured out that the less the differences of the four factors between Gajayana Train and Executive Bus are, the bigger the probability to choose Gajayana Train is.
