ABSTRAK

Game saat ini bukan hanya menjadi sarana hiburan namun juga sudah digunakan sebagai sarana pembelajaran. Salah satu cara untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran melalui game adalah dengan memanfaatkan sifat imersif game. Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi game sifat imersif sebuah game juga dengan cepat berkembang. Skenario game yang tidak monoton lingkungan tiga dimensi dan gameplay yang menantang mendukung perkembangan sifat imersif game tersebut. Sistem reward adalah salah satu faktor yang penting dalam suatu game imersif. Kami menggunakan metode Finite State Machine FSM untuk membangun sistem reward imersif di dalam lingkungan game. Pemain akan bermain game dengan memilih kondisi-kondisi tertentu yang ada dalam lingkungan game. Kondisi-kondisi yang dipilih akan mengakibatkan perpindahan state dalam FSM. State tersebut menentukan reward yang didapatkan oleh pemain. Paper ini membahas penelitian tentang sistem reward imersif berbasis FSM dalam game dalam hal ini adalah game pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar.


ABSTRACT

Recently games are used not only for entertainment purpose but also become an education tool. The successful education game can be achieved by using immersive games. Immersive games are growing very fast along with development of the game technology. Dynamic scenario 3D environment and challenging gameplay are the important factors supporting the development of the immersive games. Reward system is one of the important factors in an immersive game. We use Finite State Machine FSM to develop immersive reward system in game environment. The player will choose the certain conditions in the game. The conditions will provide the stimulus to change the state in FSM. The state determine the reward given to player. This paper discuss about FSM-based immersive reward system research in an English language education game for elementary school students. Key words reward
