Animasi wajah secara 3D banyak digunakan dalam teknologi visi komputer untuk diterapkan pada game dan film animasi. Dengan bantuan penangkapan gerak, hasil animasi wajah akan jauh menyerupai gerakan wajah sesungguhnya, terlebih lagi pembuatan animasi dapat dilakukan dalam waktu yang lebih cepat. Saat ini teknologi penangkapan gerak telah berkembang sehingga tidak lagi memerlukan marker yang melekat pada wajah. Marker saat ini telah digantikan oleh fitur penangkapan gerak. Kendala yang dialami oleh para animator saat ini adalah pergerakan marker dari fitur pada wajah yang tidak bisa ditangkap secara detail dan tepat oleh kamera, sehingga posisi marker berpindah jauh dari posisi sebenarnya. Hal ini menyebabkan animasi wajah bergerak tidak alami dan membuat bentuk model wajah 3D menjadi rusak. Melalui penggunaan metode fuzzy yang diimplementasikan pada landmark, gerakan bone yang dihasilkan dapat mendekati kondisi ideal dengan tingkat ketepatan rata-rata 60,55% .

3D facial animation is often used in computer vision technology to be applied in games and film animation. With the technology of motion capture, facial animation results will be much like the real movement, moreover, making the animation can be done in less time. Today motion capture technology has evolved so it does not require a marker attached to the face again. Marker is now replaced by a motion capture feature. Constraints of the animators today is the movement of the marker feature on the face that cannot be captured in detail and precision by the camera, so that the position of the marker to move away from the actual position. This causes facial animations do not move naturally and also cause chaotic 3D face shape model. Through the use of fuzzy methods are implemented on the landmarks, the resulting bone movement can approach the ideal conditions with an average accuracy level of 60.55%.
