BPFK (Balai Pengamanan Fasilitas Kesehatan) Surabaya berdasarkan Permenkes RI nomor : 530/MENKES/PER/IV/2007 adalah institusi penguji di bidang alat dan fasilitas kesehatan dengan wilayah kerja mencakup Indonesia bagian timur. Berdasarkan Permenkes No 363/Menkes/Per/IV/1998 untuk melakukan pengujian dan kalibrasi alat disarana pelayanan kesehatan untuk menjamin mutu peralatan kesehatan dan Undang-Undang No 44 Tahun 2009 tentang Rumah Sakit, peralatan medis harus diuji dan dikalibrasi secara berkala oleh institusi pengujian fasilitas kesehatan yang berwenang. Data hasil dari pengujian atau kalibrasi akan disimpan dalam bentuk soft copy atau Hard copy, yang kemudian akan digunakan untuk membandingkan hasil kalibrasi berikutnya. Membandingkan hasil pengujian atau kalibrasi sangat penting terutama untuk alat kesehatan dan alat ukur yang tidak lulus pengujian atau kalibrasi, dan dibatalkan atau ditunda pengerjaan pengujian atau kalibrasi. Dengan melihat data hasil pengujian atau kalibrasi dapat diketahui penyebab tidak laiknya alat karena penurunan kinerja alat atau karena faktor pengukuran, dan penyebab dibatalkan atau penundaan karena BPFK Surabaya tidak memiliki alat standar atau karena faktor pengukuran. Faktor pengukuran bukan karena tidak sesuai dengan Metode Kerja alat, pelatihan atau tidak sesuai dengan manual book, tetapi dikarenakan pemahaman terhadap alat kesehatan dan alat ukur tersebut yang berdasarkan dari pengalaman, uji coba dan praktek lapangan dari masing-masing individu petugas kalibrasi yang belum terdokumentasi. Hasil dari desain knowledge management ini adalah dapat memberikan gambaran solusi terhadap masalah keterbatasan tempat dan waktu untuk bertukar ilmu pengetahuan. Selain itu desain knowledge management ini dapat memberikan gambaran pendokumentasikan pengetahuan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasian.

Factor measurement is not because it is not in accordance with the method of work tools, training or not in accordance with the manual book, but because the understanding of medical devices and measuring instruments are based on the experiences, trials and field practice of each individual officer who has not been documented calibration. The results of the design of knowledge management is able to give you a solution to the problem of limited space and time to exchange knowledge.
