Seiring dengan perkembangnya teknologi dan internet, perusahaan mulai melakukan ekspansi strategi penjualan via internet tanpa mengenyampingkan sistem penjualan tradisional via retail. Sistem ini biasa dikenal dengan dual sales channel. Sistem ini dapat meningkatkan penjualan bagi manufaktur namun juga dapat mengancam retailer sebagai rekan dalam memasarkan produknya selama ini karena menganggap perusahaan manufaktur tidak hanya sebagai rekan tetapi juga sebagai kompetitor karena menjual produk yang sama. Oleh karena itu, untuk tetap menjaga hubungan yang baik dan meningkatkan pendapatan dari retailer, manufaktur memberikan tenggang waktu penundaan pembayaran (delay in payment) dari barang yang dibeli selama periode tertentu. Selain itu, manufaktur juga mendapatkan delay in payment dari supplier komponen produknya. Maka dalam hal ini, terjadi delay in payment dua level. Untuk meningkatkan keuntungan optimal bagi keduanya maka dilakukan integrasi sehingga didapatkan hasil yang optimal secara supply chain. Dengan adanya sistem dual channel, manufaktur menghadapi dua aliran permintaan, yaitu permintaan retailer yang secara periodik dan permintaan kosumen langsung (direct customer) yang secara kontinyu. Sistem persediaan yang diterapkan di manufaktur adalah EPQ dan di retailer adalah EOQ. Total keuntungan secara integrasi menjadi fungsi tujuan dari model ini. Konsep delay in payment yang digunakan merujuk pada konsep Teng, 2009; Chang, 2009; dan Ho, 2008). Dari hasil dari pengembangan model dan uji numerik didapatkan solusi optimal yang merupakan kombinasi ketiga variabel keputusan yang memaksimalkan total keuntungan sistem tanpa melupakan syarat utama dari tiap kasus. Model penundaan pembayaran dapat meningkatkan total keuntungan secara integrasi sebesar 1%-6% dimana besarnya tingkat keuntungan tersebut sangat dipengaruhi oleh periode delay in payment yang diberikan.

Inline with the development of techology and internet, many companies expand their business by selling their product through internet (direct channel). Besides, companies still selling their product via retailer (retail channel). This selling system called dual sales channel. This system not only can attract more customers and improve sales, but also threaten retail channel because a manufacturer act as partner and competitor for retailer. In order to keep a good relationship between manufacturer and retailer, manufacturer offer a delay in payment to retailer. At the same time, supplier also gives a delay in payment for the manufacturer, so there are two levels of delay in payment in that system. An integrated inventory model is developed to maximize total profit of supply chain. A dual sales channel system makes manufacturer faces two kinds of demand stream, they are a periodic demand from retailer and continuous demand from direct customers. Manufacturers are assumed to produce based on Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) which retailers order based on Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). The result from numerical test, it is found an optimal solution that maximize total profit of system, where integrated total profit increses as the delay in payment period is longer.
