ABSTRAK

Vendor Managed Inventory VMI merupakan suatu strategi kolaborasi yang terjalin diantara pihak - pihak yang terkait dalam rantai pasok dimana vendor mempunyai kewenangan untuk memutuskan kapan dan berapa jumlah order yang harus dikirimkan ke retail. Dengan VMI ada kesempatan bagi vendor untuk sinkronisasi persediaan dan pengiriman. Dalam penelitian ini vendor menerapkan kebijakan standar s S sedangkan sejumlah retail menerapkan kebijakan can order s c S. Pada kebijakan can order persediaan retail ditentukan oleh tiga variabel keputusan must order level s can order level c dan order-up-to-level S. Ketika persediaan retail i mencapai must order level si maka vendor akan melakukan pengiriman ke retail i. Pada saat yang sama apabila ada retail lain selain retail i misalnya retail j memiliki persediaan berada atau di bawah can order level cj maka vendor akan mengikutsertakan pengiriman ke retail j bersamaan dengan pengiriman ke retail i.Kebijakan persediaan dimodelkan menggunakan teori renewal untuk kasus permintaan poisson. Permasalahan dalam model cukup kompleks sehingga pencarian solusi tidak bisa dilakukan secara analitik sehingga digunakan simulasi. Dalam simulasi dilakukan perbandingan antara model kebijakan can order dengan kebijakan standar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketika retail menerapkan kebijakan can order diperoleh penghematan biaya rantai pasok antara 11 sampai 16 jika dibandingkan dengan biaya rantai pasok ketika retail menerapkan kebijakan standar.


ABSTRACT

Vendor Managed Inventory VMI is a strategy of collaboration that exists among the parties involved in the supply chain where the vendor has the authority to decide the number of orders to be shipped to retail. With VMI there is an opportunity for vendors to synchronize inventory and shipping. In this study vendor is implementing the standard policy s S while retailers are implementing can order policy s c S. In can order policy retail inventory decisions are determined by three variables must order level s can order level c and order-up-to-level S. When inventory of retail i reachs must orders level si then vendor will delivery products to retail i. At the same time if there is other than retail i such retail j have inventory that below or at level can order c j. Then the vendor will include delivery to retail j simultaneously with the delivery to the retail k. Inventory policy is modeled using renewal theoritic for case of poisson demand. Problems is complex and solutions can not be done analytically so simulation is used. In the simulation carried out a comparison between can order policy with standard policy. The results show that retailers implement can order policy can saving supply chain cost between 11 up to 16 when compared with retailers implement standard policy.
