PERILAKU PENGARUH FINE ARTIFICIAL LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE PADA PEMBUATAN AERATED CONCRETE GEOPOLIMER BERBAHAN LUMPUR SIDOARJO

ABSTRAK

Semburan lumpur Sidoarjo LUSI yang terus-menerus sampai sekarang mengakibatkan jumlah lumpur yang semakin sulit dikendalikan. Sehingga diperlukan pemanfaatan bahan tersebut agar tidak terus memberikan dampak yang meluas. Usaha yang dapat dilakukan yaitu pemanfaatan lumpur Sidoarjo sebagai bahan material bangunan pada beton dengan memanfaatkan sebagai filler pada beton. Filler tersebut adalah berupa fine ALWA dengan bahan dasar LUSI yang ditambahkan pada aerated concrete geopolimer. Metode penentuan fine ALWA yang digunakan yaitu memberikan fly ash sebagai bahan penstabil dengan proporsi 0 30 dan 50 kedalam LUSI kemudian dibakar pada variasi suhu 1000oC dan 1050o berdurasi 10 menit 4 jam dan 6 jam. Dari hasil perilaku tersebut didapatkan nilai ALWA yang terbaik sesuai ASTM C330 yaitu pada benda uji dengan penambahan fly ash 0 dan 50 suhu 1050oC selama 6 jam. Nilai berat jenis ALWA pada suhu 1050oC-6 jam dengan penambahan fly ash 0 30 dan 50 berturut-turut adalah 211 gr cm3 204 gr cm3 dan 190 gr cm3. Sedangkan berat volumenya dengan penambahan fly ash 0 30 dan 50 berturut-turut adalah 107006 kg m3 99363 kg m3 dan 96815 kg m3. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembuatan mortar ringan geopolimer antara pasta ringan geopolimer dengan bahan ALWA LUSI bakar fly ash. Adapun perbandingannya yaitu binder pasta ALWA adalah 1015. Perawatan dilakukan dengan steam pada suhu 60oC. Hasilnya mortar ringan geopolimer beragregat fine ALWA memiliki kuat tekan rata-rata 272 Mpa untuk ALWA 100 LUSI dan 259 Mpa untuk ALWA 50 LUSI. Adapun berat volume masing-masing adalah 10795 kg m3 dan 9837 kg m3. Jadi semakin ringan mortar maka semakin menurun kekuatannya. Penambahan fly ash pada ALWA bisa menurunkan kuat tekan mortar rata-rata 245 dan membuat densitynya berkurang rata-rata 464 daripada tanpa fly ash. Hasil pengujian kimia XRD menunjukkan mortar ringan geopolimer didominasi senyawa silica oxcide dengan mineral quartz SiO2.


ABSTRACT

Sidoarjo mud has been oozing out continuously which its amount was difficult to be controlled. The effort was needed to reduce the amount of mud. An effort was using Sidoarjo mud as such as building materials in the geopolymer aerated concrete. An alternative solution was creating fine artificial lightweight aggregate ALWA using Sidoarjo mud. The additional fly ash was used to create ALWA as stabilizer with proportion 0 30 and 50. ALWA was burned on temperature 1050oC and 1000oC with duration ten minutes four hours and six hours. The best ALWA according to ASTM C330 was obtained using 0 and 50 fly ash at temperature 1050oC during six hours. The specific gravity of ALWA at temperature 1050oC during six hours with fly ash addition 0 30 and 50 was 2.11 gr cm3 2.04 gr cm3 and 1.90 gr cm3 respectively. Density of fly ash 0 30 and 50 were 1070.06 kg m3 993.63 kg m3 and 968.15 kg m3 respectively. Geopolymer aerated mortar was made from geopolymer aerated paste with ALWA materials Sidoarjo mud fly ash. The binder paste and fine ALWA proportion was 10.15. The specimen treatment was steam curing at 60oC during six hours. The results show that geopolymer aerated mortar had average compressive strength 2.72 MPa ALWA 100 Sidoarjo mud and 2.59 MPa ALWA 50 Sidoarjo mud. The mortar density was 1079.5 kg m3 and 983.7 kg m3. The decreassing of the strength was influenced by the decreassing of density caused by pores. The addition of fly ash to ALWA caused average decreasing of mortar compressive strength 2.45 and density 6.64. The results of chemical test using XRD X-ray Diffraction show that geopolymer aerated mortar was dominated by silica oxcide with mineral quartz SiO2.
