PENGARUH TIPE PERCABANGAN HORIZONTAL LIGHT PIPE TERHADAP KINERJA PENCAHAYAAN ALAMI DALAM RUANG KANTOR DI DAERAH TROPIS LEMBAB

THE EFFECT OF HORIZONTAL LIGHT PIPE BRANCHING TYPE ON DAYLIGHTING PERFORMANCE IN OFFICE SPACE AT WARM HUMID AREA

ABSTRAK

Untuk tujuan pencahayaan alami denah bangunan perkantoran seharusnya ramping dan memiliki peningkatan rasio permukaan terhadap volume bangunan. Namun dengan meningkatnya penggunaan pengkondisian udara bentuk denah bangunan memiliki kecenderungan menjadi gemuk dengan rasio permukaan terhadap volume minimal. Hal ini menyebabkan timbulnya area-area yang kurang atau tidak mendapatkan kecukupan level cahaya alami pada bidang kerja. Dengan pertimbangan keterbatasan aplikasi metode pencahayaan alami skylight sidelighting light shelves dan vertical light pipe dalam mendistribusikan cahaya pada area-area tersebut maka dipilih metode Horizontal Light Pipe HLP. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi dan menjelaskan kuat dan distribusi cahaya alami dalam ruang yang dihasilkan oleh tipe percabangan HLP dan pengaruh desain tipe percabangan HLP terhadap kuat dan distribusi cahaya alami dalam ruang. Metode eksperimental dengan bantuan simulasi digunakan untuk mencari pengaruh variabel bebas berupa tipe percabangan HLP terhadap variabel terikat berupa kinerja pencahayaan alami. Kondisi distribusi dan iluminan DF cahaya alami pada ruang kantor dengan aplikasi tipe percabangan HLP akan dibandingkan dengan base case berupa ruang kantor dengan aplikasi HLP tidak bercabang sekaligus dengan standar pencahayaan alami. Ruang kantor dengan aplikasi percabangan HLP-L memiliki rata-rata iluminan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan HLP-T sebesar 296 lux dan 295 lux HLP-L dan HLP-T secara berurutan. Akan tetapi HLP-T dengan rasio keseragaman 1.491 mendistribusikan cahaya alami secara lebih merata dibandingkan dengan HLP-L dengan rasio keseragaman 1.501. Kedua tipe percabangan telah memenuhi persyaratan pencahayaan alami pada bidang kerja. Adapun pembelokan cahaya peningkatan panjang HLP dan penambahan jumlah bukaan distribusi mengurangi rata-rata iluminan DF hingga 3.59 HLP-T dan keseragaman iluminan dalam ruang. Pengurangan 50 dari luas bukaan distribusi meningkatkan rata-rata iluminan dan DF sebesar 6.42 tetapi menurunkan keseragaman iluminan dalam ruang.


ABSTRACT

For daylighting purpose office building should has a shallow plan and increase the ratio of surface to buildings volume. However with the intensive use of air-conditioning buildings plan has a tendency to be deep with a minimum surface to volume ratio. This leads to the presence of areas that have low or no daylight level at the work plane. Considering the limitations of some daylighting methods skylight sidelighting light shelves and vertical light pipe in distribute daylight to these areas Horizontal Light Pipe HLP is selected. The aim of this research is to evaluate and explain daylights quantity and distribution in office space which is produced by HLP branching type and the effect of HLP branching types design on daylight quantity and distribution in the space. Experimental method with simulation as a tool are used to find the effect of independent variable HLP branching type on dependent variable daylighting performance. Daylight distribution and illuminance DF condition at office space with HLP branching type application are compared with base case office space with HLP unbranching type application simultaneously with daylighting standard. Office space with L-HLP branching type has higher daylight level than T-HLP branching type 296 lux and 295 lux L-HLP and T-HLP sequentially. However T-HLP distribute daylight more evenly than L-HLP branching type with uniformity ratio as 1.491 and 1.501 T-HLP and L-HLP sequentially. Both of them have fulfilled illuminance requirement and uniformity at work plane. Deflection of light addition of HLPs length and amount of distribution opening cause attenuation of average illuminance DF up to 3.59 T-HLP and uniformity of daylight inside the space. Reduction 50 of distribution openings area increases the average illuminance and DF as 6.42 but decreases the uniformity inside the space.
