ABSTRAK

Salah satu kawasan hutan mangrove yang terdapat di Kota Surabaya adalah di kawasan Wonorejo Surabaya Timur. Namun interaksi langsung antara manusia dan hutan mangrove yang berakibat negatif terhadap lingkungan pada kawasan tersebut masih terus terjadi. Sehingga konsep sustainable design yang diangkat pada proses perancangan kawasan ini diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan desain kawasan ekowisata hutan mangrove yang khas yang dapat memberikan dampak negatif sekecil mungkin terhadap lingkungan dalam konteks pengefisiensian penggunaan lahan pada site serta pemilihan dan penggunaan material ramah lingkungan pada rancangan bangunan dengan merancang bangunan sesuai dengan konsep sustainable design yaitu prinsip pemilihan dan penggunaan material low-impact materials energy efficiency serta quality durability penghematan energi dan pemanfaatan limbah. Dalam kaitannya dengan pengefisiensian penggunaan lahan maka dilakukanlah pendekatan tapak dengan memilih lahan untuk perancangan di sela sela kerapatan hutan mangrove. Penerapan prinsip pemilihan dan penggunaan material dilakukan dengan menitikberatkan pada material alami yaitu bambu yang kemudian dilakukan perhitungan dan pengelompokkan bambu berdasarkan sisa ruas yang dihasilkan untuk mendapatkan bilah bambu yang akan digunakan pada proses perancangan. Setelah itu pendekatan geometri dilakukan untuk mendapatkan konfigurasi bentuk pada rancangan bangunan dengan menggunakan bilah bambu hasil perhitungan sebelumnya. Prinsip penghematan energi dilakukan dengan merancang bangunan yang dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami. Prinsip pemanfaatan limbah diterapkan dengan merancang sistem pengumpul air hujan pada atap bangunan. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan dari proses perancangan ini berupa desain bangunan yang tersusun dari berbagai konfigurasi bentukan geometri yang terbuat dari material bambu dengan menerapkan prinsip prinsip konsep sustainable design.


ABSTRACT

Wonorejo area in Eastern Surabaya is one of the mangrove forests area located in Surabaya. However direct interactions between humans and mangrove forests which have a negative impact on the environment in the area are still happening. So the sustainable design concepts raised in the design process of this area is expected to solve those problems. This study aims to obtain eco-tourism design typical of mangrove forests which can provide the least possible negative impact on the environment in the context to streamline the land use on the site and to select and use of environmentally friendly materials in building design by designing the building in accordance with the sustainable design concepts namely the principle of selection and use of materials low-impact materials energy efficiency and the quality and durability energy saving and waste utilization. In relation to streamline the land use we conducted the approach to the site by choosing the design in between the density of mangrove forests. Application of the principle of selection and use of materials is done with emphasis on natural materials namely bamboo then do the calculations and groupings based on the remaining sections of bamboo produced to get bamboo to be used in the design process. After that the approach in geometry to obtain the configuration form in the design of buildings using bamboo previous calculation results. The principle of energy conservation is done by designing a building that maximizes the use of natural lighting and airing system. The principle of the utilization of waste applied by designing a rainwater collection system on the roof of the building. The final result of the process of designing is a building design that is composed of various geometrical configuration formations made of bamboo material by applying the principles of sustainable design concepts itself.
