ABSTRAK

Penataan bantaran sungai Kalimas Surabaya sebagai satu-satunya sungai yang membelah kota Surabaya menjadi perhatian pemerintah akhir-akhir ini. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya penataan pada spot-spot tertentu yang berupa taman dan area rekreasi di beberapa penggal sungai. Namun penataan tersebut terlihat belum merata dan menyeluruh lebih memperhatikan faktor estetika serta kurang memperhatikan faktor sosial. Pendekatan sustainable urban river menawarkan pengembangan kawasan bantaran sungai dengan satu konsep penataan yang terintegrasi sehingga kawasan tersebut tidak hanya menarik untuk dilihat tetapi juga dapat memberikan wadah bagi masyarakat untuk bersosialisasi. Proses analisa diawali dengan melakukan identifikasi kawasan studi untuk menemukan potensi yang dapat dikembangkan dengan menggunakan teknik walkthrough analysis dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penentuan kriteria dan konsep penataan kawasan bantaran sungai yang sustainable. Konsep penataan dan arahan desain yang dihasilkan oleh penelitian ini mengacu pada aspek-aspek penataan sustainable urban river mencakup perbaikan kualitas lingkungan desain lansekap pembentukan kualitas visual dan konektivitas lahan dengan konteks lingkungan sekitar. Penerapannya dengan mempertahankan dan menghadirkan vegetasi sebagai peneduh dan penyerap polusi mengutamakan bangunan bersejarah sebagai point of view menghadirkan ruang terbuka dan perbedaan level ketinggian lantai sebagai pembentuk suasana ruang luar. Penerapan keterhubungan secara holistik mengarah pada linkage visual untuk menghubungkan dua atau lebih penggal berupa underpass. Keterhubungan ini juga memperhatikan komposisi yang estetis serta keragaman dan keunikan elemen lansekap yaitu dengan penataan vegetasi secara memanjang dan berkelompok pengaturan jalur sirkulasi dengan bentuk lengkung dan dinamis serta menghadirkan elemen gate berupa tangga dan ramp elemen landmark berupa air mancur dan elemen nodes berupa panggung kecil sebagai identitas kawasan.


ABSTRACT

The arrangement of Kalimas riverbank Surabaya as the only river which is cross the town has been giving an attention of government. It can be seen with some arrangement at the some spot as a park and recreation area in some fragment of the river. But this arrangement is not spread and all over the river prefer to pay attention at aesthetic factor and less attention at social factor. Sustainable urban river approach offers development of the riverbank area with one integrated arrangement concept so that area not only interesting to be seen but also can give a place for people to socialize. Analizing process is started with identify the study area to find the potential which can be developed by walkthrough analysis technique and semistructured interview. Then continued with determining the criteria and the arrangement concept of sustainable riverbank area. The arrangement concept and design guidance that are resulted by this research referring to the arrangement aspects of sustainable urban river include repairing the environment quality landscape design forming the visual quality and the connectivity of land with environment context. The application is to keep and add vegetation as a shelter and pollution absorber to give a priority of the historic building openness as a point of view adding open space and different floor high level as a former to public space atmosphere. The application of holistic connectivity direct to a visual linkage which connect two or more fragment with underpass. This connectivity also pay attention in aesthetic composition with diversity and uniqueness of the landscape elements such as vegetation arrangement in a linear and grouped arrangement of circulation track with curve and dynamic shape also adding gate element with stairs and ramp landmark element with fountain and nodes element with mini stage as an identity of the area.
