ABSTRAK

Studi tentang transportasi sedimen telah banyak dilakukan dalam berbagai kondisi dan diperbarui oleh para peneliti sebelumnya. Paper ini berisi tentang laporan hasil eksperimen transportasi sedimen yang dilakukan dalam keadaan gelombang irregular. Bagaimanapun untuk mengetahui pengaruh spektrum gelombang dan parameter lain terhadap transportasi sedimen penting untuk memulai dari water surface elevation yang ditransformasikan ke dalam kecepatan orbital kemudian ke tegangan geser. Eksperimen dilakukan di wave flume tank laboratorium lingkungan dan energi laut jurusan Teknik Kelautan ITS menggunakan spektrum JONSWAP dengan beberapa variasi tinggi gelombang dan periode. Ada dua metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menghitung tegangan geser dasar dan satu formula menghitung laju transportasi sedimen. Dari hasil eksperimen dan perhitungan yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa formulasi bedload sediment transport yang ada masih kurang sesuai jika dibandingkan dengan hasil eksperimen nilai R2 0218 dan 0248.


ABSTRACT

Study about sediment transport has been done by many researchers in any conditions and been renewed. This paper provide a report about experiment conducted by irregular waves. However the free stream velocity profile needed as input to other formulas computed from water surface elevation. The transformation from water surface elevation to free stream velocity is done by fourier decomposition. The experiment done in a wave flume tank in Laboratoy of Environmental and Energy Ocean Engineering Department ITS using a JONSWAP wave spectrum with many variations in wave period and wave height. There are two methods used in this experiment to calculate bottom shear stress and one formula to calculate bedload sediment transport. From the calculation we can conclude that the formula still irrelevant with the experimental result with the determination coefficient R2 is 0218 and 0248.
