EVALUASI KARAKTERISTIK HIDRODINAMIKA KAPAL IKAN UNTUK WILAYAH PERAIRAN PULAU BENGKALIS - RIAU

ABSTRAK

Kapal ikan yang terdapat di Pulau Bengkalis digolongkan berdasarkan beberapa kapasitas Gross Tonnage. Salah satu kapal dengan tipe terbanyak berkapasitas 3GT dengan jumlah hampir 160 unit. Jumlah tersebut kemungkinan dalam jangka waktu beberapa tahun kedepan akan mengalami penurunan. Terdapat 2 faktor penyebab yaitu sulitnya untuk mendapatkan bahan dasar kayu atau tidak ada lagi pembangunan kapal ikan 3GT karena nelayan tidak sanggup membangun kapal ikan dengan bahan baku yang lain karena dikhawatirkan memiliki harga yang lebih mahal. Bahan baku yang diperkirakan memiliki kemungkinan terbesar untuk bisa diterapkan sebagai pengganti kayu adalah Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic FRP karena berat tiap meter persegi FRP lebih ringan di bandingkan dengan kayu. Untuk mengalihkan penggunaan kayu menjadi FRP sebagai bahan baku pembuatan kapal ikan 3GT maka di butuhkan evaluasi kapal ikan 3GT yang ada saat ini. Kapal yang ada saat ini perlu di evaluasi supaya apabila nantinya akan di bangun kapal ikan dengan bahan FRP maka bisa mengacu pada ukuran dan bentuk kapal ikan yang lama. Berdasarkan hasil survey di lapangan terdapat 4 tipe kapal ikan 3GT di Pulau Bengkalis yang berbeda ukuran dan bentuk. Ke empat tipe kapal tersebut Kapal-1 kapal-2 kapal-3 kapal-4 akan di evaluasi kondisi displacement stabilitas hambatan dan olah gerak seakeeping. Untuk mengevaluasi masingmasing item tersebut maka model kapal harus digambarkan sama dengan kondisi yang ada di lapangan. Kondisi displacement kapal dihitung menggunakan Maxsurf-hydromax stabilitas kapal dievaluasi menggunakan kriteria International Maritime Organization IMO hambatan total kapal menggunakan metode Van Oortmerssen dan olah gerak kapal dievaluasi dengan Strip Theory. Hasil evaluasi displacement stabilitas hambatan total dan seakeeping maka kapal-2 memenuhi kriteria stabilitas IMO hambatan yang tidak terlalu besar memiliki olah gerak yang baik dan mampu menambah payload menjadi 062 Ton dari payload awal sebesar 05 Ton. Penambahan payload tentunya akan sangat menguntungkan nelayan karena muatan yang dibawa bisa lebih banyak dari muatan sebelumnya.


ABSTRACT

Fishing vessels in Bengkalis island consists of several Gross Tonnage GT. One of the largest type of vessel have a capacity of 3GT with total160 units. The number are likely to decrease within the next few years. It is caused by two factors the difficulties of obtaining wooden materials and there is no more 3GT fishing vessels being built because fishermen can not afford to build a fishing boat using other raw materials due to its higher price. The raw materials expected to have a greatest possibility to be used as an alternative of wood is Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic FRP for its each area m2 FRP weight is lighter than wood. To replace the use of wood as a raw material 3GT fishing vessels into FRP the current 3GT fishing vessels need to be evaluated. In building it needs to be evaluated so that when the fishing vessels will be built using FRP material it can refer to the size and shape of the old fishing vessels. The results of the field survey showed that there are 4 types of 3GT fishing vessels in Bengkalis Island in different sizes and shapes. These four types of vessel ship-1 ship-2 ship-3 ship-4 displacement conditions stability total resistance and seakeeping were evaluated. To evaluate each of these items the model must be described in a way same as the field conditions. The displacement of ship was calculated using Maxsurf-Hydromax the ship stability was evaluated using the International Maritime Organization IMO criterion total resistance of ship using Van Oortmerssen method and seakeeping of ship was calculated using Strip Theory. From the results of the evaluation of displacement stability total resistance and seakeeping the ship-2 follows the IMO stability criteria have a total resistance that are not too big has a good seakeeping and able to increase the payload from 0.5 tons to 062 tons. The increase in payload will be very beneficial for fishermen because the quantity that can be carried is more than the previous one.
