ABSTRAK

Pergerakan node secara dinamis di dalam lingkungan MANET mobile ad-hoc network merupakan tantangan utama hingga saat ini. Pemilihan metode yang paling sesuai untuk mengirimkan pesan pada layer routing harus diterapkan untuk meningkatkan throughput dan mengurangi overhead. Service discovery di lingkungan MANET merupakan isu yang masih diteliti hingga saat ini karena pada lingkungan MANET tidak terdapat titik pusat administrasi yang mengatur node-node anggota di jaringan. Pada penelitian ini adaptasi mekanisme cluster diterapkan pada lingkungan MANET untuk service discovery dengan tujuan mengurangi service discovery delay dan meningkatkan service success rate. Node dibagi dalam beberapa daerah yang disebut cluster dimana setiap cluster memiliki cluster head yang bertugas mengkoordinasikan pergerakan node dalam cluster tersebut. Permasalahan yang muncul kemudian adalah bagaimana menentukan clusterhead. Pemilihan cluster head yang tidak tepat dapat menyebabkan menurunnya performa efisiensi di lingkungan MANET. Pada penelitian ini penulis mengemukakan usulan untuk melakukan optimasi pada pemilihan cluster head dengan mengadopsi perilaku perpindahan burung dan perilaku semut dalam menemukan sumber makanan berdasarkan zat pheromone. Parameter yang digunakan untuk memilih cluster head adalah jumlah tetangga yang dimiliki oleh node jumlah energi pada tiap node dan jumlah terpilihnya node menjadi cluster head. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pemilihan cluster head dengan mengadaptasi perilaku burung dan semut untuk service discovery mampu mengurangi service discovery delay sebesar 3322 ms dan meningkatkan service success rate sebesar 857.


ABSTRACT

The movement of nodes dynamically in the environment MANET mobile ad-hoc network is a major challenge today. Service discovery in MANET environments is an issue nowadays since the MANET environment there are no central points of administration manage member nodes in the network. In this study cluster adaptation mechanisms is applied to MANET environments for service discovery with the goal of reducing service delays and improve the service discovery success rate. Nodes are divided into several zones called clusters where each cluster has a cluster head that is responsible for coordinating the movement of the nodes in the cluster. The problem that arises then is how to determine the cluster head. The selection of the cluster head which may cause decrease in performance efficiency in MANET environment. In this study the authors put forward a proposal to conduct optimization on the selection of cluster head by adopting a bird migration behavior and the behavior of ants in finding food sources based on pheromone substance. The parameters used to select the cluster head is owned by a number of neighboring nodes the amount of energy at each node and the number of nodes into the cluster head election. The results showed that the method of election of cluster head by adapting the behavior of the birds and ants for service discovery can reduce the service discovery delay of 33.22 ms and improve service success rate of 8.57.
