ABSTRAK

Pengembangan bioetanol saat ini masih mengalami berbagai macam kendala. Salah satunya karena harga dari bioetanol lebih mahal dari harga minyak yang dijual di Indonesia. Bioetanol yang berkembang di Indonesia merupakan generasi pertama. Oleh karena itu perlu dicari bahan baku bioetanol lain yang bukan merupakan makanan pokok ketersediaannya melimpah dan kurang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Melalui inovasi ini dilakukan pembuatan bioetanol dari buah Maja dengan variabel penambahan Saccharomyces cerevisiae sebanyak 1 2 dan 3 pada proses fermentasi selama 3 4 dan 5 hari. Pembuatan etanol dengan bahan baku buah Maja dilakukan dengan cara menghidrolisis bubuk buah maja menjadi glukosa. Hidrolisis dilakukan dengan penambahan asam H2SO4 pada temperature 120oC selama 2 jam kemudian larutan hidrolisa didinginkan. Larutan hidrolisa yang dingin difermentasi dengan menambahkan Sacharomyces cereviceae sebagai media pengkonversi glukosa menjadi etanol. Agar mendapatkan bioetanol yang lebih murni dilakukan proses distilasi pada temperatur dibawah azeotrop. Hasil Percobaan yang didapatkan secara keseluruhan telah memenuhi SNI 35652009 mutu 1. Uji kualitas produk dengan parameter sisa penguapan maksimal yaitu 89 mgL Maksimal 25 mgL. Rendemen tertinggi hasil percobaan adalah 75

Development of bioetanol in this time still experience of assortedly of constraint. One of them because price of costlier bioetanol of sold oil price in Indonesia. Bioetanol expanding in Indonesia represent first generation. Therefore require to look for by raw material of bioetanol other which not such a staple food its availability abundance and less exploited by society Through this innovation is doneconducted by making of bioetanol of fruit of Maja with variable addition of Saccharomyces cerevisiae counted 1 2 and 3 at ferment process during 3 4 and 5 day. Making of etanol with fruit raw material of Maja doneconducted by fruit powder hydrolysis of maja become glucose. Hydrolysis doneconducted with addition of acid of H2So4 at temperature 120oC during 2 hourclock laterthen condensation of hidrolisa made cool. condensation of Hidrolisa cool ferment by enhancing Sacharomyces cereviceae as media pengkonversi of glucose become etanol. So that to be getting purer bioetanol to process distilasi at temperature belowunder Azeotropes. Result of got Attempt as a whole have fulfilled SNI 35652009 quality 1. Test the quality of product with parameter ofis rest of maximal evaporation that is 89 mg L Maximal 25 mg L. Highest Rendemen result of attempt is 75
