ABSTRAK

Bioethanol adalah etanol yang diproduksi dari bahan baku berupa biomassa terutama mollase.Bioethanol dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bahan bakar alternatif. Pabrik bioethanol ini akan didirikan di daerah Malang Jawa Timur. Pabrik ini menggunakan bahan baku mollase dengan kandungan glukosa sebesar 21 dengan proses fermentasi. Proses pembuatan bioethanol ini meliputi lima tahap Tahap pertama adalah proses penyaringan dan sterilisasi. Tahap kedua adalah proses pre fermentasi pembutan starter dengan penambahan nutrient dan sacharomyces cerivisae. Tahap ketiga adalah proses fermentasi selama 40 jam dengan penambahan inokulum dari proses pembuatan starter dan penambahan antifoam. Tahap keempat yaitu distilasi. Tahap kelima dehidrasi molecular shieve. Pabrik bioethanol bekerja secara semi-kontinyu dan beroperasi selama 300 haritahun dengan kapasitas produksi 26.000 tontahun. Mollase yang dibutuhkan 92.340 tontahun. Bahan baku pendukung yang digunakan NH42SO4antifoam dan bakteri saccaromyces cerevisae Kebutuhan utilitasnya adalah air pendingin air umpan boiler dan air proses masing-masing 1567 m3 tahun 1879 m3tahun dan 657 m3tahun. Limbah yang dihasilkan dari industri ini yaitu cake fermentasi dan gas CO2.


ABSTRACT

Bioethanol is ethanol produced from biomass feed stock mainly mollase. Bioethanolcanbe used for alternative fuels. The bioethanol plant will be stablished in the area of Malang East Java. The plant uses raw materials mollase the glucose content of 21 with the fermentation process. The process of making bioethanol includes five stages the first stage is the process off iltering and sterilization. The second stageis the pre-fermentation process preparation of starter with the addition of nutrients and Sacharomyces cerivisae. The third stageis the process of fermentation for 40 hours with the addition of starter in oculum of the manufacturing process and the addition of antifoam. The fourth stage is distillation. The fifth stage shieve molecular-dehydration. Bioethanol factory work and semi-continuous operation for300daysyear with a production capacity of 26000tonsyear.Mollase required 92 340tons year. Supporting the use of raw materials NH42SO4 anti-foam and bacteria saccaromyces cerevisae utility requirementi scooling water boiler feed water and process wate reach 1567m3year 1 879m3yearand657m3year. Waste generated from this industry that cake fermentation and CO2 gas.
