ABSTRAK

Terowongan Angin atau wind tunnel adalah suatu alat untuk melakukan studi dan penelitian mengenai interaksi antara gerakan udara dengan benda-benda yang ada di dalam aliran udara. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan dan pembuatan rancang bangun sistem pengaturan kecepatan angin wind tunnel untuk keperluan laboratorium dengan menggunakan dimmer untuk mengendalikan kecepatan putaran motor kipas pada wind tunnel. Belum adanya sistem control kecepatan pada wind tunnel yang dimiliki tersebut mengakibatkan penggunaannya kurang maksimal karena hanya dapat mempergunakan satu variable kecepatan. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini mempunyai tujuan untuk membantu membuat alat control kecepatan untuk membantu dalam mengontrol kecepatan putaran motor sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Dari hasil pengukuran kecepatan angin diperoleh range angin yang berkisar 075 ms hingga 58 ms. Dari pengukuran tersebut juga diperoleh data kecepatan angin dengan kecepatan ratarata sebesar 55633.


ABSTRACT

wind tunnel is a tool to conduct studies and research on the interaction between air movements with objects that exist in the air flow. In this research design and manufacture of control systems design wind speed wind tunnel for laboratory purposes by using dimmers to control the rotation speed of the fan motor in the wind tunnel. The absence of the speed control system in the wind tunnel that is owned by its use resulted in less than the maximum because it can only use one variable speed. Therefore in this thesis has the objective to help make a speed control device to assist in controlling the speed of rotation of the motor in accordance with the desired. From the results of measurements of wind speed wind range obtained in the range of 0.75 ms to 5.8 ms. The measurements of wind speed data is also obtained with an average speed of 5.5633 ms.
