ABSTRAK

PT Swadaya Graha merupakan perusahaan dalam bidang konstruksi. Pengelasan sambungan T-joint banyak digunakan dalam bidang konstruksi. Standar pengelasan yang digunakan yaitu standar AWS American Welding Society Inc dimana pemanasan awal harus dilakukan untuk melambatkan pendinginan dan mencegah terjadinya cacat retak. Proses pengelasan sambungan T-joint pada penelitian ini menggunakan material baja paduan rendah tipe ASTM 387 Grade 22 dengan ukuran panjang flange lebar flange dan tinggi web adalah 300 x 150m x 150 mm tebal flange dan web adalah 254 mm. Setiap benda kerja dilakukan pemanasan awal dengan temperatur yang berbeda beda antara lain tanpa pemanasan awal 230F 300F dan 370F. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa benda kerja yang tanpa pemanasan awal terjadi cacat retak sedangkan benda kerja dengan pemanasan awal tidak terdapat cacat retak. Pada Pengujian distorsi angular juga dipengaruhi oleh pemanasan awal nilai distorsi angular tertinggi pada benda kerja dengan pemanasan yang tertinggi dan distribusi kekerasan akan semakin turun dengan bertambahnya nilai pemanasan awal. Pada hasil analisa mikro terdapat perubahan ukuran butiran dari struktur mikro dengan fasa yang sama. Ukuran butiran yang terbentuk pada daerah HAZ yaitu ferlit dan perlit kasar. Pengaruh pemanasan awal berpengaruh terhadap pengelasan baik terjadinya cacat retak dingin distorsi distribusi kekerasan dan ukuran struktur mikro.


ABSTRACT

PT Swadaya Graha is a company in the construction field. Welding T-joint connections are widely used in the construction field. Welding standard used is standard AWS American Welding Society Inc. where preheating must be slowed of cooling and prevent cracking defects. The process of welding the connection T-joint in this research use a low steel material type ASTM 387 Grade 22 with the length of the flange width of the flange and web height is 300 x 150 x 150 mm thick of flange and web is 254 mm. Each thing is preheated with the different temperatures range like without preheat 230F 300F and 370F. The survey results revealed that the work piece without preheating cracking defects while preheating the workpiece with disabilities there are no cracks. On Testing of angular distortion is also affected by preheating the highest value of angular distortion in the workpiece by heating the highest and the distribution of hardness will increasingly falls with increasing preheating values. At the micro-analysis there is a change of grain size microstructure. Grain sizes formed in the HAZ region is corse ferlite and pearlite.the effect of earliest preheating influence on welding in cold crack distortion corse distribution and microstructure.
