Description:

Besar kecilnya sudut bevel adalah parameter dari pengelasan yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil dari pengelasan GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) pada aluminium 5083, pengujian yang dilakukan adalah uji tarik terhadap hasil pengelasan pada masing – masing sudut yang ditentukan, pengujian yang dipakai menggunakan standard ASME IX, specimen uji mengalami perlakuan variasi sudut bevel 30º, 40º, 50º. Proses dilakukanya penelitian adalah dengan melakukan pengujian tarik/tensile dan dengan uji lengkung/bending, serta mencatat setiap proses yang dilaksanakan untuk menghasilkan data uji. Pengamatan saat dilakukanya pengelasan sampai selesai pengelasan juga sangat diperlukan, untuk mengetahui deposit prosentase kawat las (g) dan waktu pengerjaan masing-masing material uji. Pada hasil pengujian tensile, material uji patah di weld metal dengan hasil reject pada semua benda uji. Nilai tensile terbesar pada sudut bevel 50° dengan nilai tensile 250 N/mm2 dan nilai tensile terkecil pada sudut bevel 30o dengan nilai tensile 160 N/mm2. Dengan diameter mandrell ≤ 40 dia adalah reject semua, baru mendapat tekanan sebentar langsung terjadi keretakan, berarti material tersebut adalah sangat getas (britle). Sudut bevel 50o membutuhkan filler 115,67 g dan membutuhkan waktu 138 detik untuk pengelasan, sudut bevel 40omembuthkan filler 81,65 g dan 161 detik dalam pengelasan, sedangkan sudut bevel 30o membutuhkan filler 56,1 g dan 138 detik dalam pengelasan. karena dengan sudut yang besar membutuhkan layer pengelasan lebih banyak dan waktu lebih lama.

Big or small angle of bevel is parameter of welding which can influence result from GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding ) welding 5083 Aluminium, examination taken is interesting test to result of welding at determined angle, examination wear to use standard of ASME IX, natural test specimen of treatment of angle variation 30º, 40º, and 50º bevels. Its process of research him with interesting tensile examination and with bend test / and also note every conducted for process yield test data. Perception of its welding moment till finish also very needed, to know the percentage of strand deposit of filler metal ( workmanship time and weight filler used) and time which required for each angle. In the tensile test results, test material was broken in the weld metal with the results of rejection in all specimens. Largest tensile value at bevel angle 50° with 250 N/mm2 tensile value and the lowest tensile value at the shrinkage 30o bevel with 160 N/mm2 tensile value. With a diameter of ≤ 40 mandrell he is reject all, just got a cracking pressure of immediate moment, means that material is very brittle. 50o bevel angle need filler 115.67 grams and takes 138 seconds to weld, bevel angle 40o filler need 81.65 grams and 161 seconds in the weld, while the bevel angle of 30o require filler 56.1 grams and 138 seconds in welding. because of the large angle requires more welding layer and a longer time.
