Description:

Perkembangan teknologi otomotif yang begitu pesat telah menuju ke arah terciptanya teknologi KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) adalah perangkat yang berfungsi untuk menyimpan energi kinetik dan dimanfaatkan kembali untuk menambah akselerasi kendaraan. Dalam teknologi ini dirancang transmisi dari sistem KERS. Untuk mentransmisikan daya sebesar 4,9 hp dengan putaran 2590 rpm dari roda ke flywheel, dibutuhkan sistem transmisi yang aman dan sesuai agar menghasilkan output yang diingnkan. Dalam tugas akhir ini akan dirancang suatu mekanisme transmisi yang meliputi pasak, roda gigi, bearing, dan poros yang sesuai dengan perancangan elemen mesin. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa daya yang dapat ditransmisikan dari roda ke flywheel sebesar 1,4 hp.

Development of automotif technology that has rapidly towards the creation of technology KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) is a device that serves to store kinetic energy and used again to increase the acceleration of vehicle. This technology is designed in the transmission of KERS system. To transmit power equal to 4,9 hp with 2590 rpm rotation of the wheel to the flywheel, the transmission system is needed that is safe and appropriate in order to produce output. In this final task will be designed with a transmission mechanism which include pegs, gears, bearing, and shaft in accordance with the design of machine elemens. The calculation resulting force that can be transmited from the wheels to the flywheel of 1,4 hp.
