ABSTRAK

Perkembangan teknologi pengolahan industry modern sangat pesat. Semua aktivitas pemprosesan dilakuakan secara otomatis. Hal ini juga terjadi pada proses pengurangan level air yang dimasak dalam suatu boiler secara atomatis maupun manual dengan menggunakan control jarak jauh. Proses ini melibatkan bagaimana cara membuka blowdown valve secara manual dan otomatis serta bagaimana cara mengetahui perhitungan flow rate pada kondidi steady. Hal yang pertama kali dilakukan dalam proses ini adalah dengan mengubah konstruksi pada pipa blow down. Setelah itu tambahkan solenoid valve sebagi keran otomatis yang berfungsi untuk mengurangi kapasitas air panas pada boiler. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui ketinggian air kita pasang infra merah barcode. Infra merah barcode ini dapat langsung berhubungan dengan mikrokontroller untuk menggerakkan solenoid valve. Dalam hal ini kita menggunakan mikrokontroller dengan tipe AT Mega 8.Perbandingan keran blowdown sebelum dan sesudah dimodifikasi adalah sama. Hal ini disebabkan oleh system modifikasinya .Pada saat pembuangan air panas system modifikasi valve 0.75 inchi berjalan lambat pada sight glass. Sehingga menyebabkan pipa tidak bergetar steam hammer pada kapasitas boiler 480kg jam dengan tekanan 10 bar dan suhu 180 derajat celcius. Sedangkan pada perhitungan yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas bolier 450kgjam memiliki perhitungan yang hampir mendekati dengan kapasitas boiler 480kgjam.


ABSTRACT

The developing of modern industry is increase rapidly. All of the activities process can do automatically. This is also occurred on decreasing boiled water level process in a boiler. This process is done automatically and manually under long distance control. It is included how to open blow down value manually and automatically and also how to know the computation of flow rate in steady condition. The first step that we have to do in this process is change the construction of blow down pipe. Next add solenoid valve as automatic crane. The solenoid valve can decrease the capacity of hot water in the Boiler. Besides that to know the high water of sight glass we can use infrared barcode. This infrared can directly connect with microcontroller to move solenoid valve. In this case the writer uses AT mega 8 type of microcontroller. The comparison of blow down crane before and after modification is same. This is because of modification system itself. When throwing hot water modification value system is 075 inch. This modification value system is moved slowly on sight glass. So it makes the pipe in steam hammer. This condition occurred on 480 kghour with 10 bar pressure and 180 celcius. In the other hand the computation that the writer has practiced show that on 450 kghour boiler capacity has almost same computation with the boiler
