Description:

Sampah menjadi salah satu masalah besar saat ini. Bagi sebagian orang sampah merupakan peluang untuk berusaha. Contohnya, sampah rumah tangga. Sampah ini dapat menghasilkan keuntungan bagi orang yang mampu mengolahnya. Sampah ini harus dipotong kecil sebelum dapat dijadikan kompos. Pembuatan mesin cacah ini dimulai dari merancang mekanisme penggerak pisau. Perhitungannya, dimulai dengan mencari besarnya gaya pada elemen-elemen mesin yang digunakan (poros, belt, pulley), besarnya daya motor yang digunakan, dan besarnya kapasitas yang dihasilkan oleh mesin cacah. Setelah pembuatan mesin,maka mencari besarnya gaya potong yang terdapat pada sampah (melalui percobaan). Dari percobaan didapatkan gaya potong sampah rata-rata sebesar 4,9 kgf. Penggerak, menggunakan motor sebesar 0,5 HP dan dihasilkan putaran 126 rpm. Kapasitas yang dihasilkan sebesar 9 kg/jam (untuk wortel dengan berat 0,5 gr, tebal kurang lebih 8 mm).

Rubbish to be one big problem today. For some people waste an opportunity for business. For example, household organic waste. This trash can generate profits for those able to process it. This garbage should be chopped before it can be used as compost. Making counting machine is started from the blade drive mechanism design. The calculations, starting with looking for the style of machine elements used (shafts, belts, pulleys), the magnitude of the motor power is used, and the amount of capacity generated by the machine chopped. After making machine, then look for the cutting forces contained in the waste (by experiment). From the obtained experimental cutting forces garbage average of 4.9 kgf. Activator, using the motor of 0.5 HP and the resulting spin 126 rpm. Capacity generated by 9 kg / hour (for carrot weighing 0.5 grams, about 8 mm thick).
