Bahan bakar fosil merupakan salah satu energi yang sering kita manfaatkan. Namun keberadaan bahan bakar fosil ini semakin sulit dicari. Hal ini dikarenakan bahan bakar fosil merupakan sumber daya alam yang tidak dapat diperbarui. Ketersediaan bahan bakar fosil ini menyebabkan masyarakat mencari energi alternatif. Adapun energi alternatif yang mampu menggantikan bahan bakar fosil dan sesuai dengan musim di Indonesia adalah memanfaatkan sumber matahari. Pada tugas akhir ini dikembangkan sebuah kompor tenaga surya atau pemanas air yang mampu melacak posisi matahari sehingga dalam proses pemanasan dapat berlangsung efektif karena sudut datang dan suduut pantul matahari tetap dijaga agar tetap tegak lurus. Alat ini menggunakan mikrokontroler ATMega 16, sensor fotodioda, sensor suhu, dan sensor sudut.Sensor suhu digunakan untuk mengetahui suhu yang terdapat di pemanas air. Adapun hasil akhir tugas akhir ini adalah kompor matahari yang mampu mencacah posisi matahari dan mampu memonitoring suhu pemanas air.

Fossil fuel becomes one of energy we often use. Yet, the existence of the fuel is getting hard to find. Since it is unrenewable natural resource, people attempt to discover other alternative energy. Furthermore, the alternative energy, which substitutes the fossil fuel and it is suitable with Indonesia season, is by using solar power. This final project develops a solar power stove or a heater which is able to trace the sun position. By the tracing, the degree of incidence angle and reflection can be controlled so that the heating process can be more effective. This device uses microcontroller ATMega 16, photodiode sensor, temperature sensor, and angle sensor. A temperature sensor to know pemanas air temperature. A solar power stove, which can detect the sun position and can monitoring heater’s temperature, is the result of the final project.
