ANALISA PENGARUH DERAU IMPULS PADA SYSTEM SINGLECARRIER DAN MULTICARRIER

ABSTRAK

Pada kanal komunikasi sinyal informasi yang dikirimkan akan selalu mengalami gangguan karena adanya derau yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan pendeteksian sinyal sehingga terjadi perubahan bit atau simbol pada sisi penerima. Pada penelitian ini dianalisa pengaruh derau AWGN dan derau impuls pada sistem modulasi multicarrier dan singlecarrier. Untuk itu dibuat suatu pemodelan simulasi untuk mengamati pengaruh derau impuls pada sistem modulasi multicarrier dan singlecarrier dengan teknik modulasi 16 QAM. Unjuk kerja sistem dianalisa berdasarkan nilai Bit Error Rate BER. Dari analisa diperoleh bahwa adanya derau impuls mempengaruhi unjuk kerja dari sistem komunikasi. Pada modulasi multicarrier tanpa gangguan derau impuls BER 102 dapat dicapai dengan EbNo sebesar 165 dB. Sedangkan dengan adanya derau impuls nilai EbNo yang diperlukan menjadi 18 dB. Sistem modulasi multicarrier menunjukkan kinerja lebih baik daripada singlecarrier bila amplitudo derau impuls cukup besar yaitu pada 1 ai1 dengan waktu kedatangan derau impuls paling rendah yaitu 15.


ABSTRACT

In communication channel transmitted signal suffers from degradations due to noise which leads to erroneous detection of symbol or bit by the receiver. In this study we analyze effects of impulse and additive white gaussian noises on singlecarrier SC and multicarrier MC modulation systems. A simulation model has been proposed to evaluate BER performance of SC and MC systems employing 16-QAM. The results show that impulse noise has significant effect on the performance of a communication system. In the MC modulation system without impulse noise BER of 10 2 can be achieved by using EbNo of 16.5 dB whereas by considering impulsive noise EbNo of 18 dB is required to obtain the same level of BER. Moreover MC modulation system performs better than SC one at the large values of the amplitude of impulsive noise i.e. 1 and ai 1 with the corresponding shortest inter arrival time of impulse noise at 1.5.
