PROTEKSI KATODIK DENGAN IMPRESSED CURRENT PADA BESI TULANGAN BETON

ABSTRAK

Beton merupakan bahan konstruksi yang paling banyak digunakan karena kekuatannya dan ekonomis. Ion klorida yang terdapat di lingkungan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan dini pada beton. Kerusakan ini terjadi karena ion klorida menyerang baja tulangan beton sehingga terkorosi. Untuk itu dipelajari suatu cara untuk mencegah proses korosi yang terjadi pada beton. Dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan pencegahan korosi dengan proteksi katodik secara impressed current. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pemaparan spesimen beton bertulang di laboratorium dengan beberapa variasi komposisi beton bertulang kondisi lingkungan yang meliputi kadar ion klorida dan posisi anoda dalam beton dengan standart kontrol perlindungan depolarisasi l00mv. Setelah dilakukan proteksi lalu mengukur laju korosi besi tulangan dengan metode Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy EIS pengukuran ini dilakukan setiap S hari sekali. Selanjutnya hasil pengukuran dianalisa untuk mengetahui laju korosinya. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa potensial polarisasi 100 tnV telah tercapai untuk seluruh bagian tulangan walaupun besarnya tidak sama. Proteksi katodik untuk beton 14 tidak efektif walaupun harga polarisasinya tercapai sedangkan untuk beton 12 efektif. Posisi anoda yang terbaik terletak di tengah.


ABSTRACT

Concrete is the most widely used as construction materials due to its strength and cost. Although it has a good strength but it can be damaged. The chloride ion in the environment causes an early damage for reinforcement concrete. To prevent from damages concrete need some protection. Cathodic protection is a well established technique for preventing corrosion of rebar in chloride condition. In this experiment we are using impressed current Cathodic Protection The experiment was done by exposed the specimen in laboratory with variation of environment condition composition of concrete and position of anode. To control the cathodic protection we arc using the 100 mV depolarization criterion. During the exposurement monitoring of impedance or resistance of concrete was done by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method. The conclusion of this experiment arc impressed current cathodic protection is not effective to protect concrete with composition 14 although the 100 mV depolarization criterion was fulfilled but effective to protect concrete with composition 12.
