SINTESIS MATERIAL NANOKRISTAL DARI BAHAN DASAR GELAS METALIK BERBASIS ZIRKONIUM

ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan sintesis material nanokristal dari material dasar amorph berbasis zirkonium menggunakan metode kristalisasi sebagian. Bahan gelas metalik berbasis Zr dibuat dengan menggunakan metode melt spinning dengan komposisi nominal Zr69Cu12Ni11Al8 Zr65Cu27Al8 dan Zr67Cu33. Bahan gelas metalik diuji menggunakan Differensial Scanning Calorimeter DSC sampai dengan temperatur 420C dengan kecepatan pemanasan 5m untuk mengetahui dan menentukan daerah transisi fasa yang mungkin terjadi. Berdasar data uji DSC bahan dipanaskan pada temperatur di bawah temperatur transisi gelas dan di atas temperatur transisi kristal dalam lingkungan udara kemudian diuji menggunakan difraksi sinar X. Dari data pola difraksi sinar-X diidentifikasi jenis fasa yang terbentuk dan ditentukan lebar setengah puncak maksimum spektrum terdifraksi. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan setelah perlakuan panas teridentifikasi fasa oksida ZrO2 Zr2Ni CuNi untuk sampel untuk Zr69Cu12Ni11Al8 Al2O3 dan Zr2Cu untuk Zr65Cu27Al8 dan ZrO2 dan Zr2Cu untuk Zr67Cu33. Berdasar FWHM ukuran butir terhitung pada daerah antara 11 - 90 nm. Kata kunci Gelas metalik kristalisasi sebagian nanometer


ABSTRACT

The synthesis of nanocrystall material from amorphous Zr-based alloys have been carried out. Metallic glasses Zr-based alloys with nominal composition for Zr69Cu12Ni11Al8 Zr65Cu27Al8 and Zr67Cu33 were prepared by melt spinning. Tg and Tx were determined using differential scanning calorimeter DSC with healing rate 5min until 420C. Based on DSC data the samples will be heated under the glass transition temperature Tg and around the Tx then be observed using x-ray diffraction method. From XRD data shown that after the heat treatment ZrO2 Zr2Ni CuNi phases for Zr69Cu12Ni11Al8 Al2O3 and Zr2Cu phases for Zr65Cu27Al8 Z1O2 and Zr2Cu phases for Zr67Cu33 were identified. Based on FWHM grain size in the range 11 - 90 nm were calculated. Key words Metallic glasses partial crystallization nanometer
