ABSTRAK

Sensor kemolaran larutan NaCl telah dibuat dari directional double coupler serat optik multimode. BF5R-D1-N digunakan sebagai sumber cahaya yang berasal dari LED merah dengan panjang gelombang 660 nm dan phototransistor sebagai detektor. Variasi kemolaran larutan NaCl 0-5 M dan variasi jenis kupasan diberikan dalam penelitian ini. Prinsip kerja dari sensor ini adalah mendeteksi rugi daya pada setiap adanya perlakuan. Hasilnya adalah rugi daya yang terdeteksi berbanding lurus dengan molaritas dan panjang kupasan. Probe sensor dengan kupasan pada daerah jaket dan cladding lebih sensitif dibandingkan dengan probe sensor dengan kupasan hanya pada daerah jaket.


ABSTRACT

Molarity sensor of NaCl solution has been made of the double directional coupler multimode optical fiber. BF5R-D1-N is used as the light source coming from a red LED with a wavelength of 660 nm and a phototransistor as the detector. Molarity variation of NaCl solution 0-5 M and variation of types of peels are given in this research. The working principle of this sensor is to detect the power loss in each treatment. The result is a power loss is detected directly proportional to the length of molarity and peeling. Probe sensor with peeling on coating and cladding regions are more sensitive than the sensor probe with peeling only in regions.
