ANALISA POLA BIDANG SESAR PADA ZONA SUBDUKSI DI WILAYAH SELATAN PULAU SUMATERA DARI EVENT GEMPA PADA TAHUN 2011-2014

ABSTRAK

Pada penelitian membahas tentang momen tensor dan pola bidang patahan yang didapat dari focal mechanism gempa di selatan Pulau Sumatera. Indonesia menempati zona tektonik yang sangat aktif karena tiga lempeng besar dunia dan sembilan lempeng kecil lainnya saling bertemu di wilayah Indonesia gempa-gempa yang terjadi di Pulau Sumatera merupakan implikasi geodinamika dari deformasi aktif di sekitar Sunda dan Java trench dalam menentukan momen tensor dan focal mechanism-nya menggunakan program ISOLA-GUI dengan menghitung fungsi Green dan melakukan proses inversi Dari hasil perhitungan focal mechanism ditentukan bidang patahan dan besar slip dari sesar. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mempunyai magnituda lebih dari sama dengan 5.5 Skala Ritcher. Hasil dalam penelitian ini dibandingkan dengan hasil dari Global CMT guna memperkuat pengambilan kesimpulan adapun dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa untuk untuk pola bidang patahan yang terjadi di wilayah selatan Pulau Sumatera yang menggunakan data gempa yang terjadi pada tahun 2011- 2014 adalah pola reverse fault dan dip-slip untuk pola dip-slip diduga merupakan implikasi dari zona subduksi di sebelah barat Pulau Sumatera . Dengan besar rentang momen tensor untuk masing-masing komponennya sebesar M11 2.531 1015 sampai 0.205 1018 M22 3.495 1015 sampai 0.337 1018 M33 0.964 1015 sampai 0.131 1018 M31 0.544 1015 sampai 5.174 1018 M32 1.107 1015 sampai 4.113 1018 dan M12 1.140 1015 sampai 0.430 1018. Sedangkan untuk besar slip rata-rata dari event gempa diselatan Pulau Sumatera pada tahun 2011-2014 274.71 meter.


ABSTRACT

Based on the research that examines about momenttensor and fault-plane pattern from South Sumateras earthquake focal mechanism Indonesia lays on a strongly active tectonic zone which caused by the concourse of the worlds three main earth plates including nine smaller other plates. Earthquakes that happen in Sumatera island is an implication from the active deformations and geodynamics around Sunda and Java trench. ISOLA-GUI program was used in determining the moment-tensor and the focal mechanism by doing the inversion process and calculating the Green function formula. The data comes from focal mechanism calculation is used to determined the faultplane and the slip value from the fault. The data used in this research has magnitudes value approximately 5.5 Ritcher Scale and not less. The result in this research is compared to the result from the Global CMT to strengthen the final conclusion as for the result in this research concluded that the fault-plane patterns happens in South Sumatera using earthquakes data during 2011- 2014 periods is the reverse-fault pattern and dip-slip. For the dipslip pattern itself was suspected as implication from subduction zone in the west region of Sumatera island with the momenttensor value range from M11 2.531 1015 to 0.205 1018 M22 3.495 1015 to 0.337 1018 M33 0.964 1015 to 0.131 1018 M31 0.544 1015 to 5.174 1018 M32 1.107 1015 to 4.113 1018 and M12 1.140 1015 to 0.430 1018. Whereas the average slip value from earthquake event happens in South Sumatera region during 2011- 2014 periods is 274.71 meters.
