Penelitian mengenai aliran di sekitar pelat datar terus dilakukan sampai sekarang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar efek negatif aliran terhadap suatu benda. Namun, pada kehidupan sehari-hari seringkali ditemukan adanya pelat panas yang diberi aliran fluida sehingga perlu adanya analisis tentang pengaruh panas tersebut terhadap karakteristik lapisan batas yang terbentuk. Dalam penelitian ini, persamaan lapisan batas dilakukan analisis secara numerik dengan menggunakan metode beda hingga besar pengaruh perpindahan panas terhadap karakteristik lapisan batas akibat aliran turbulen. Kemudian persamaan diskritisasi numerik disimulasikan dengan menggunakan program Matlab 7.8 dan konstanta-konstanta, yaitu g = 9,82 m/s2, L = 25, Pr = 9,4, dan v= 0,0013 m2/s. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan air dalam lapisan batas mengalami fuktuasi yang diakibatkan oleh terjadinya turbulensi. Namun, temperatur air dalam lapisan batas mengalami penurunan.

The study of flow around a plate still do until now. The research goal done is to know how big negative effect of flow for a thing. But, in everyday life is often found in the hot plate is given by the fluid flow so that the need for analysis on the influence of the heat is on the characteristics of the boundary layer is formed. In this study, analysis of boundary layer equation was performed numerically using finite di fference method of heat transfer effects on boundary layer characteristics in consequence of turbulent flow. Then numeric visualized with the help of Matlab 7.8 and constants, namely g = 9,82 m/s2, L = 25, Pr = 9,4, and v = 0,0013 m2/s. The simulation results showed that the water velocity in boundary layer experienced a fluctuation which was caused by eddy flow. However, the water temperature in boundary layer got into slope.
