ABSTRAK

Daun ketapang telah diketahui memiliki potensi sebagai bakterisidal pada beberapa bakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran diameter zona bening yang terbentuk pada masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak daun ketapang Terminalia catappa konsentrasi minimum ekstrak daun T. catappa yang berpotensi dalam menghambat bakteri A. salmonicida serta konsentrasi minimum ekstrak daun T. catappa yang berpotensi dalam membunuh bakteri A. salmonicida. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah diameter zona bening nilai Minimum Inhibitory Concentration MIC dan nilai Minimum Bactericidal Concentration MBC. Data diameter zona bening pada disk diffusion test dianalisis secara statistik dengan ANOVA dan jumlah koloni pada tube dilution test dianalisis secara diskriptif. Hasil uji difusi menunjukan bahwa ekstrak daun ketapang T. catappa dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ukuran diameter zona bening. Nilai terbaik diperoleh pada konsentrasi 400 mgml dengan nilai rata-rata diameter zona bening sebesar 231670764. Pada tube dilution test diperoleh nilai MIC sebesar 440 mgml sedangkan nilai MBC sebesar 480 mgml.


ABSTRACT

Ketapang leaves have been recognised to be a potential bactericidal on various kinds of bacteria. This research aims to find out the clear zone diameter of each concentration of ketapang leaves extract minimum concentration of ketapang T. catappa leaves extract which potential to inhibit A. salmonicida bacteria and minimum concentration of T. catappa leaves extract which potential to kill A. salmonicida bacteria. The parameter on this research is clear zone diameter value of Minimum Inhibitory Concentration MIC also value of Minimum Bactericidal Concentration MBC. The data of clear zone diameter was analyzed statistically using ANOVA and total colony on tube dilution test was analyzed descriptively. The result of disk diffusion test showed that extract of ketapang leaves with different concentration influence significantly the diameter size of clear zone. The best value was obtained in concentration of 400 mgml with average of clear zone diameter was 231670764. MIC value that was obtained in tube dilution test was 440 mgml while MBC value was 480 mgml.
