ABSTRAK

Kebutuhan akan informasi mendorong manusia untuk bergantung pada teknologi satelit. Demi Indonesia yang mandiri dari segi teknologi satelit di kemudian hari maka untuk kedepannya riset mengenai satelit nano melibatkan pihak akademisi pada beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia. Melalui suatu wadah organisasi INSPIRE Indonesian Nano-Satellite Platform Initiative for Research Education yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia. Salah satu komponen penting dalam sistem satelit adalah antena. Untuk memutar antena menurut sumbu vertikal maka diperlukan rotator azimuth yang mampu mengakomodasi putaran antena hingga 3600.Dalam penelitian ini metodologi yang dilakukan ialah dimulai dari perancangan mekanisme roda gigi pada rotator bantalan hingga poros proses manufaktur masingmasing komponen desain kontroler penggerak rotator analisa struktur batang penyanggadan uji kerja rotator azimuth. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem mekanika dan kontrol dari rotator azimuth satelit nano dengan ketelitian 010. Proses pergerakan rotator dilakukan secara manual manual tracking terhadap pergerakan satelit menggunakan kontroler untuk rotator azimuth ataupun elevasi.


ABSTRACT

The need for information encourages people to rely on satellite technology. For being independent in terms of satellite technology in the futureIndonesia involves academic researchers at several universities in Indonesia through an organization called INSPIRE Indonesian Nano-Satellite Platform Initiative for Research Education. One of the important components in the satellite system is the antenna. To rotate the antenna in the vertical axis azimuth rotator is needed which is able to accommodate antenna rotation until 360o. The methodology start from the design of the gear mechanism of the rotator bearing to the shaft the manufacturing process of each component rotator drive controller design structur analysis and the trials. This research resulted in mechanics and control system of nano satellite azimuth rotator which is capable of rotating the antenna vertically with 0.10 accuracy. Rotator movement process is done manually manual tracking using a controller for the azimuth or elevation rotator.
